I was not familiar that Dominic Fortune had a son or that he took up the family business. I liked his dad a bit. Not crazy, but I liked that he represented that sort of older swashbuckling hero character that was prevalent before the advent of the superhero. Two of my fondest memories of my early comic book collecting days was a two part Web of Spider-Man story with Dom, and a chunky anthology (one of those 80 page/Annual sized deals) with a bunch of different Marvel characters. Dom got one of the stories and it was that Fortune had been considered for the Project Rebirth experiment as he was already in top physical condition and had experience as a fighter and hired gun. He of course is not chosen, but the government does task him with protecting the person that was chosen, skinny Steve Rogers before he takes the serum.

As I said, no clue about his son, but I have a soft spot for Dom.

SAMSON
Just a generic strong armed villain from the Golden Age Human Torch comics. NEXT.

THE MAD THINKER

Oh i love the Mad thinker, he's a basic mad scientinst villain but he's a damn good one. Plus he gave us Awesome Andy! He gets major points for that =D

Yeah, I dig the Mad Thinker. If for no other reason than Awesome Andy. He made Dragon Man too right?

no I think it was either Diablo or the Wizard. But Dragon Man's awesomeI love the modern version where he takes care of the Future Foundation kids and is a pacifist.

Not by one those two either.
At least not in the original run.

Some random professor named Gregson Gilbert built him.

Samson- uh if he doesn't have a Doc in front of his name...hes lame!

THE MAD THINKER-- freaking dig that guy!! i always love when he's 'there a 2% chance of you will blow your nose and i have planned for that! that &*( is cool!

Dragon Man- eh! thats a really dumbname and always i see him hanging out with some kids take care of your damn kids so they wont hang out with dragon man! he never set me on fire!

Samson - Not a friggin clue.

Dragon Man - He's cool but don't know much about him.

Mad Thinker - He's pretty cool.

awwwww for me!! Spider-Aziz!! you shouldnt have!:woot:

I FREAKIN LOVE DOC SAMSON!! One of my all time top guys!! i dug him since i 1st saw him!

1) if you are going to go GAMMA ray! He's the best! He's still "a pretty boy" who can get chicks!.. not like Hulk with anger management issues or the Abomination who's just freakin fugly! my boy still looks like a member of an 80's hair band! and you know those dudes in Motley Crew got some babes!
2) He still has all his ahem.. "faculties!" those gamma rays be messing people up!!Doc is the only one who seems to keep it all together!
and finally
3) Dude be messing with people's minds!! He totally be pulling "Jedi mind tricks" on foolish bad guys and making them defeat themsleves!( he's the good "Moonstone!" )I dont know how many dudes Doc has psyche out during a fight! Dude can either beat the ^& outta you with his fists or tell you how much you love your mama a bit "too much!" (hehe) and have you crying like a little B^&* sucking your thumb in the fetal position !!THATS COOL!!

That dude needs his own book! i would buy that ^&!!that DUDE IS COOL!! I Freaking love the Doc and He will see you now!:cwink:

Doc Samson is great! I'll pretty much just second everything BV said.

Bamfometer: 8

Eh, he'll probably get better sooner or later.

He's okay. I've always felt they don't use him as well as they should.

My only experience with Doc Samson was the issue of X-factor where Madrox and company each go in for sessions with him. He didn't leave a huge impression, but I really liked that issue. I guess I like him fine.

Doc Samson was great. He had the brain and brawn to take on pretty much anything. I love the therapy sessions that they have him do and especially the one with Speedball/Penance. That was the only time I enjoyed anything with Penance and it was hilarious. I think they had him chat with every team out there.

He would have done wonders for Spider-Man if they forced Pete to sit down for a few sessions. His sessions with the Hulk were fun and every now and then he could hold his own against Bruce while he talked him down.

Didn't he go evil and die a while back?

Oh my ZOD... You are righ BV, he IS the good Moonstone! Now I have to see that in some form, Doc vs Moonstone.

I always liked Doc. Yeah underused for sure.

Didn't they have the two of them duke it out during the Thunderbolts books? Or if not duke it out then snark it up?

I was out of comics by then Kev. Sounds probable though.

For alla ya Guardians of the Galaxy fans.

STARHAWK

The old school Guardians were never my bag. I never knew exactly what his deal was... Or even if he was a he. Didn't he have some deal where he merged with his wife or something?

No clue whatsoever.
Reading Marvel Team-Up 86 inspired the idea.

Wow... I just looked up StarHawk's history... Damn is that all supremely convoluted!
