Never read the comic, but I'll just come out and say it: I like the ewoks. Hate away all you people of the generation before mine.

Ewocks are like the Muguai, before the coming of Gremlins.
I like 'em.

Alright. Ewoks are OK, in small doses, I only liked them in ROJ & nowhere else. I never bothered with the animated Ewoks cartoon, or that lame Ewoks: Caravan of Courage, or even the Ewoks comicbook.

yeah as a kid watching ROJ i thought okay! that's kinda cool..."this primitive culture help bring about the downfall of the technology advance empire!"( not that advance it seems cause they built another F^&ing Deathstar with the same f^&* shaft weakness!! i would so fire that architect!) that was cool and ironic that some dudes with spears beat their ass! as I've gotten older though..i am like "they are FREAKIN TEDDY BEARS!!!!"
Lucas put them guys in there to make a killing selling them to kids to sleep with at night! what the hell was i thinking!!
So like Duke said.. "Okay in ROJ"( they dont bother me in that) but if they are in this new one other than in a crowd scene as backdrop! F^&*that noise! oh and i never ever seen them in anything other than ROJ! they are TEDDY BEARS for jimmy the cricket's sake!

I dig em.

If for no other reason than I know they probably ate some of those Storm Troopers after the battle had ended.

Ask yourself this question... Of all the ways you could go down as a member of the Empire's military forces, which would be the worst? Quick and easy, taking a blaster shot to the face/blowing up in your fighter OR getting gored by spears and pummeled to death with rocks? Plus the indignities of having to surrender to cuddly looking forest primitives. If ya'll haven't guessed, I loved the Ewoks and have no shame in saying so. The idea that we fans complain after collecting all the action figures and other regalia and accepting characters like Artoo and Threepio or Yoda but the Woks (I can call them that. We're tight.) are too much and are there to appeal to kids... Newsflash we were ALL kids when we got exposed to SW. That was practically Lucas' whole bloody point! He wanted to give people the experience of seeing Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers when he was a kid. Establish a tale, a moden mythology for the young people at the time. As for being miffed these teddy bears took out the elite forces of the Empire? Let's not pretend those guys covered themselves in glory the previous two films. "These blast points... Too accurate for Sand People... Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise." Really Ben? Are we watching the same film?

I love those little fuzz balls.

with the Kung-fu grip!(oh and 6 million dollar man!) so while i get what you are sayin those ewoks need to stay in ROJ and in kids beds! uh... the dolls not the little guys who played em! hahaha:cwink:

As always, Anubis and BV bring a smile to my face. Kudos.

R2 and Yoda are far superior to Ewoks, great for people of any age and timeless. No comparison. I don't hate Ewoks but they better stay away from the new films!

LOL. As much as I LOVE G.I.Joe, I'm not that retro to go with the 12' figure versions. I'll remain with 3 3/4 versions of them with the swivel arm battle grip. :word:

Never got the hate for Ewoks. I always loved them as a kid, and they don't bother me now.

But BV, I think we've finally come to the root of your hatred for the Bamfs!

hehe... well Duke my man when i had that GI joe it wasnt exactly "retro" it was new :cwink:
i think when the smaller version came out i was trying to get chicks to dress like scarlet instead hehe..

you know Cap you might be on to something... i dont hate the Bamfs or the Ewoks though.. they just have their place and there they should stay
