Wow... I just looked up StarHawk's history... Damn is that all supremely convoluted!

Hahahaha! man Krypton are you telling me!! and i use to be all into the old Guardians as a kid! Martinex was my fav!

yeah dude was in love with his sister which because it was the days before the internet made me go back and by back issues cause that was some crazy stuff... only to find out it was his adopted sister. and that he was a pacifist on a planet full of war mongers! Then they got fused togther with her to make starhawk!.... so forgetting all that! i dig STARHAWK! i like those "fusing into one guys!"(cause i love firestorm so much!)
plus i always love they would be getting their butts kicked and dude would be standing( and he was the most powerful one) there doing nothing saying " All will be reveled... accept the word of one who knows!" zen stuff while Vance Astro would be yelling at him to help!

I could never get into the old GotG. I tried a few times but lost interest a few issues in. Then they kicked over to the new guys and then it got great.

Even not being too into the OG Guardians it's clear that They are the Marvel analog of DC's Legion of Superheroes. The men Guardians are little more in line with like Blake's 7 or Farscape only with Marvel characters.

I like Chewie and his homeboys. For just being a tall guy in a hairy suit the character of Cewbacca is very endearing. I like his loyalty to Han, even though I bet there are days he regrets that life debt. I liked the version of the Wookie home world that was in the Thrawn novels. Hopefully we get a better look at them and their world in these new SW films.

I want the characters to be more than one note thing, and for the movies to be fun.
Characters in the original trilogy are forgettable, Leia is probably the only human character with a personality. Her, Chewie, and Jabba existing made Han memorable, if not for Chewie he would have been another bland face with debts.

The prequels tried to make the story more character driven -as I see it- but the stories for movies one and two are dull, the third Star Wars prequel is the only one of those six movies I found to have a nice mix of both. It could have been better, but it's just another forgettable movie.

Love Chewie and Wookiees in general. He was great in the movies, but the EU books made him even better. Agree that the version of Kashyyyk in the Thrawn trilogy was great.

I think Wookies worked better back then but I don't want too many main characters who can't speak in the new films. R2 is the only one who deserves that privilege.

I'd like a main character alien that travels with the group like Chewy did if possible. Not just a weird & wonderful freak that makes strange noises, but one with an important arc (like a Mass Effect ally).

Chewbacca is another of my favorite characters from the Star Wars universe. I love his ferocity, his endearing friendship, his awesome bowcaster, his camaraderie with Han Solo, & of course his iconic appearance.

LOL. Chewie was not designed to be a werewolf or hybrid, etc. , he was made to resemble more of a primate, in my opinion.

as a kid i thought they were werewolves at 1st!( i was a kid give me a break! he was only on for a second in the trailer as a kid) but then saw they 're these bigfoot thingees! plus they carry laser crossbows! sooooo

I'm of two minds here. I don't mind it if it's just ONE Wookie speaking to some one who can speak a language I can understand. But a bunch of them? (See: KOTOR 1 on The Wookie Home World) It can get tedious.
