Lockheed is fun... Fun, but a bit too cutesy for my own tastes. I aint got a problem with cutesy but I think Lockheed was a little too precious at times the way he was handled. I get why he has his fans, but for myself I think he should have just came an went. Now he's a fixture in the X mythos and I just don't care all that much... Of course that's just me.

Lockheed was an extremely random addition, but I have no problem with him. I agree he should have just appeared for a bit and then left rather than stayed indefinitely.

I think he should have just came an went. .
Exactly!!if he would have been in that bedtime story Kitty had read with the BAMFS i would have been cool but that he stuck around... I hate that F^&*(ing Dragon!
i watched Smurfs for cutesy and stuff ! i read Xmen to see Mofos beating the %^& outta bad guys and Wolverine Slicing up everybody cause he went berserk!
That dragon being in xmen was like mixing my Peanut butter with chocolate!!..hey! wait a min i like recces ,but that dragon i dont like!
She's a gal, and yeah.
Hehe shows you how much i read those books Spider my man by that time i knew how to read and was reading PLAYBOYS!

I kind of like Lockheed. He's an interesting dragon and he had a neat part in AXM when they first fought Ord, just blasting him in the face with fire which was pretty much the only time he got hurt that fight. I found the whole 'working s a undercover SHIELD agent' thing to be stupid though.

I thought Lockheed died.
And for this post, I do not care how everlasting comicbook deaths are.

BEN REILLY

No love what so ever. And its not that I hate him either. I am totally indifferent to him. The idea of him is actually kinda intriguing when you think about it... Then ten seconds later you go, "but to actually go through with that idea would be very dumb." But they did it. The clone stuff is one of the examples where mining continuity was a BAD idea. Especially since the supposed problem that it was designed to fix wasn't a problem at all. I don't know any fan that had some deep seated negative reaction to Peter and MJ being married. And I don't think that element somehow KEPT new fans AWAY from the books. You know what does keep fans away from comics? OBVIOUSLY BLOATED AND UNINTELLIGIBLE STORIES LIKE THE CLONE SAGA. For that reason, what ever merits Ben has... Yeah. Sorry dude. You ain't no Spider-Man.

He's not Spider-Man, he's:
The Scarlet-Spider 1.0

Ugh....i hate clones almost as much as i hate NINJAS!!:cwink:
I am not sticker for continuity..but come on! this guy!! lets take 30 something years of all you read and throw it in the trash! Everything that you read isnt "real" ( which is very subjective since its a comic hehe) wasnt the 'Real" Spiderman but his "CLONE!" are you freaking Kidding!!AND THEY KNEW THEY HAD MESS UP when its turns back to" oh! this guy is the "clone" and the real Spiderman was the real spiderman all along!!

Man! Clones make my head hurt as much as much as time paradoxes!! *Screw this guy!...ugh...

* ( and yes!! thats how i really feel about him!!. like krypton said you sir! Are no Spiderman of mine!)

I kind of liked him until they messed it all up. I still have a soft spot for him despite not knowing who the **** was the real spider-man during that time anymore. :p You have to feel for the guy, he thinks he's the real Peter then turns out he's just a test tube experiment.

Not the biggest fan.

I'm okay with Lockheed. I like him better as a character that shows up sporadically rather than as a regular. Thought the agent of S.W.O.R.D. thing was weird.

Have no experience with Reilly, but I dig the costume.

I saw Ben Reilly in a comic once because I avoided the Clone Saga. But it feels everyone else in that story has had some attempts at redemption (Kaine has his own story now, iirc). So I feel a bit bad for him. The story fell apart because of editorial difficulties.

Agreed with these. I have no problem at all with Lockheed. But permanent spots, even cameo spots, should be in-demand and require more to nail down.

I liked him when I was young and stupid. I look back at how they made Peter act like an ass and Ben was written like a grounded good guy. I don't like when one character has to be characterized like a€^% in order to make the other, newer guy look wonderful to the fans. Peter slapping MJ I could have gotten over since he did just learn that supposedly his whole life is a lie, but to actually trust and join with the Jackal? Just so Ben could be the clear-headed voice of reason?

I don't look back fondly on Ben.

He's okay. I've never read The Clone Saga, but I've liked most of what I have seen of him.

A very cool addition to Marvel's Thor mythos, like lots of things Asgardian she was never used better than during Simonson's run. A very cool Kirby design and a versatile characterization make her an interesting ingredient to add into the mix of any story. I kind of always wanted to see what her relationship with Cosmic Death was. A powerful and important female character in a comic book that isn't there just as an adjuct to a male one or used primarily as eye candy she's usually used well, my own personal druthers about all that New Mutants nonsense not withstanding (Seriously, Claremont, WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?).

Wasn't that during Louise Simonson's run on the title, after Claremont left? I've liked what I've read her in, but no strong opinion.

anyways Hela is HELA( get it!) Cool!if Marvel would get their stuff together she could be a MAJOR ASS BADDIE!( but i guess since there's Loki ) she will just stick to jacking with Thor only!
