It was cool because, when Rick was bonded to Genis' father, Ole Marv was like a surrogate dad to him, and when he bonded with Genis, he was like a wiser older brother teaching him the ropes. Very cool.

MARVEL ZOMBIES

First one was good. Everything after that was Meh to suck.

I liked them. Like most zombie stuff, it's mostly so-bad-it's-good with a few gems in the mix.

Sorry! but i HATE %^&*(ING ZOMBIES!! never was my thing! No "Walking dead" No "Dawn of the dead" ,No Michael Jackson's " Thriller" ( but i did like that red Jacket he had!) I am strictcly a Werewolf kinda guy!( which is the reason i like Timer wolf and Starfox's hair doo!)... oh and sparkly vampires!!! Those and Zombies is O.W.T! that spells OUT!
:cwink:

The series was an entertaining take on Marvel heroes and horror. But like most things they couldn't leave well enough alone, or at least give it a rest for a bit. Still, the original series stands out as a very well done WHAT IF...

The first volume was great and enjoyable. I read most of the rest and only the one with Machine Man was good and that was due to him being an alcoholic robot. I always had mixed feelings about the series as I loved the zombies with superpowers bit but always felt bad because my favorites bit the dust.

Ever read the book The Hyde Effect by Steve Vance? It's one of my favorite books I've read and it deals with a werewolf. The first half takes place over six months or so tracking it down and the last half deals with one night and that one night is amazing. You get to see it through several peoples eyes and the werewolfs as well.

Though totally a heterosexual guy... Yeah, I like MAN-THING for some odd reason.

The idea sounds interesting
What I don't like is "Anything that knows fear, burns at the touch of the Man-Thing", and the jerk insists on touching the fearful
With that look of his, everyone will burn

Seems too similar to Swamp Thing, which I prefer instead.

Swamp Thing has better things about him
He keeps his memory
Not too large
And I don't think he burns people by touching them

Yeah, I'm more of a Swamp Thing sorta guy.

Never saw that guys draw....I mean, other than his name. :o

i have loved him ever since and i totally dig his catch phrase!! you need to burn those fools who's afraid of you!! if you are a superhero there shouldn't be too much %^& you are afraid of in the 1st place!! hehe

Man Thing is a great Marvel monster. I loved his most recent stint in Thunderbolts.

Well I'll just say it... He's better now that in so many ways the comic book character was influenced by the films and Snipes portrayal. That being said, even after all that, he's still sort of boring and off putting to me (much like Snipes portrayal). Still, the basic bones of the character are cool. One day someone will come up with a really great way to use him that I'll really be able to...sink my teeth into. (That's right... I went there. Do your worst ya'll!!!) :oldrazz: :word:

Can't say I was ever interested in the character, he never seems more than uninteresting
I think the Nightblayde show in Saints Row the Third might be a nod at him, about that constantly angry vampire

I like him fine but his universe is a bit detached from the core Marvel Universe to me.

Man Thing: I'd be happier if I never saw him in another comic.

Blade: I like him as a detached character. Anytime I see anything vampire related in marvel comics they seem very out of place to me. Bugs me any time I see Jubilee now because of the stupid vampire thing.

Blade.....I agree. The more detached, the better. They tried to involve him with the X-Men and it went horribly wrong.
