State Your Opinion on a Character!!!! (Reboot)

Sunfire... One of the great Marvel *****enozzles. Him, Namor, Quicksilver, Northstar and Emma Frost need to form a group and just condescend to people all over the Marvel U.

Odin? He's cool. Thor brings his whole supporting cast with him and Odin is a big part of that. He could stand to be a bit less quick to being so judgmental of his supposedly favorite son though. He always ends up reversing his decisions anyway.

And Geisha Fem-Boys From Beyond the Moon needs to be Lady Gaga's new back up group.

Not the movie version this time

THAT ALWAYS LONESOME MEMBER OF THE CANADIAN ARMY/X.S.E. (THAT A REAL TEAM?)/ALPHA FLIGHT/OFFER SQUAD/NEW AVENGERS/AVENGERS/X-MEN/X-FORCE/DEPARTMENT H.....

I used to be a big fan of his... USED TO. Long ago in my teen years, and frankly, he was overexposed even then. Claremont wanted to actually kill Logan as part of his swan song, but of course Marvel would have none of that. As it stands now, with his ridiculous super retcon personal history, I just don't know what to think. Whedon may have had the best use of him in decades by NOT making him the center of the X-Men stories he wrote. I still have a soft spot in my heart for him I must say. Oh and... THAT BLUE AND YELLOW SUIT IS TERRIBLE. Brown and mustard all the way.

My favorite version of the character is the X-Men Evolution version, and has his best looking costume there imo

Far over exposed and I tend to dislike him these days due to that. I also get annoyed at the hypocrisy over him being a mass murderer and everyone being fine with that/ignoring it/forgetting about it when convenient and getting pissed at anyone else who would have a far better reason for killing someone, DD/Kingpin or Spider-Man/Osborn, because they shouldn't and it's wrong but expect Wolverine to go and murder anyone at the drop of a hat because it's what he does.

I don't really care about the fact he's on every single team because by now it's expected of him but I hate the way they made his history so crazy and convoluted that he's now a part of every single thing that has ever happened in the past century that has had any importance.

He's a soldier, of course he carries a license to kill :o
One good thing he did say in Superior Spider-Man is about every member of the Avengers killing people every once in a while, no reason to give Spider-Man grief for killing a mass murderer

What it boils down to is once upon a time there were a select few that knew how Wolverine should be written. As they left Marvel over the years, they took those secrets with them because no one else can figure it out. They plan on "killing" the character soon which is a good thing. We all need a break from him. Marvel needs to take a collective breath and figure out how to use him properly before they inevitably bring him back.

There's a couple ways but it seems that once you have him captured it's just too hard to dunk him in a lake.

I like him. But yes, he is extremely overexposed and the hypocrisy over killing people is grating. I much prefer reading back issues, before he was team leader. Although, I did very much enjoy the two volumes of X-force he was in.

This i agree with especially the

the only thing i wouldn't is i loved the Blue and yellow( which had nothing to do with a wolverine) but hey its a comic book like red and blue has anything to with a spider!!
especially this one cause

it made him look nasty!!
there was a time when i love his berserker, second string, cyclops hating, phoenix loving ass!.. but then he got to big for his flared boots!appearing in Power pack, super pro and gods knows what!i stared caring less! the convoluted, repressed artificial memories( man! all that %^& makes my head hurt!) The old man's( in the future only the cockroaches and him will survive!) but really the claw in the coffin was when FREAKING FAN GUYS VOTED FOR THAT DUDE TO LOSE TO LOBO.LOBO!!! LOBO SHOULD HAVE ERASED THAT DUDE!! i was finished i now could care less if he Hugh Jackman is playing that guy in drag!
Boo that dude!

PS. i now sometimes wished they had killed off him instead of Thunderbird back in the day cause they both had the same personalities.

Wolverine is a great character. It's too bad Marvel stopped publishing comics with him in them.

Heh, anything pre-1990's. There has been some decent stuff here and there but they really lost their way with him since Claremont's first run. To me that's the definitive Wolverine.

I rather liked his original series with him first doing the Patch ID in Madripoor at the Princess Bar at all that. That was pretty good and they didn't have him be the unstoppable claw god of death he turned out to be. He took time to heal, nearly died a few times from getting attacked by a group of yakuza and took several days to get close to normal.

Can't find the patch joke from Mini Marvels
That one is awesome

agree! love the book where Vindicator came looking for him but before then he asked Storm if she could give him a ride to go "hunting!" and she got all bent out of shape about "how could you kill a innocent deer?" and he was! B&*()) dont get your cape in a bunch! when i mean "hunting". i mean to sneak up and touch a deer! thats' all! it dont take any effort to kill!
that was when that dude was cool! and you started to see there was more to him!... after that screw it! and that "PATCH"crap was the worse!( no offense Kevan my man) i was like how the ^&* do these people not know who he is with Hair like that HAHAHAHAH!

I figured that they all knew the unstoppable clawed killing machine was Wolverine but they all just humored him because they heard stories about how he took on giant robots, super powerful mutants and other superheroes and walked about fine. You really want to call out a guy who do all that on having a stupid secret ID? It's not like too many people who actually didn't live on Madripoor ever called him anything else but Logan or Wolverine.

true and it wasnt as bad as "Neanderthal, bone claw wolverine "or the yeah! right "walking away from being blown up by a Nuke" wolverine or underwater armour wearing fighting submariner one( if i was Namor! i would be you have gots to be kidding!). the dudes at marvel must have been like i know its a comic but even i cant believe this %^&*!
:cwink:

Spider-Woman and her friend called him Wolverine
So did that investigator guy, whatever his name
That was a funny moment

I really like his new outfit but removing the healing factor was a terrible idea.
I like Wolverine but he should be a supporting character most of the time not the lead.

I don't feel one way or the other about him anymore.
