Horror Stephen King's "IT" Part I and Part II

Correct me if I’m wrong but that scene wasn’t included in the theatrical edition? So then it was cut for a reason.

I haven't seen any other edition than the Theatrical, and I remember him falling and bouncing off the walls.

In fact, I've been waiting for the Director's Cut edition that's supposed to be out in September, did it come early?

No, it didn't. There're only a few deleted/extended scenes in the BluRay edition, but not all of them (the Bowers one is absent: I think it will be used in Chapter Two).

Anyway, just for personal fun, I tried to edit an extended version of the movie adding those scenes, and it flew quite well. Still waiting for the Director's Cut, though. Maybe they're gonna release a DC version of both Chapters, or they could try and edit them together like one of the producers said once.

Last character yet to be announced???.....

From Wikipedia,

Kay McCall...... Beverly Marsh's close friend, a divorcee and an affluent writer of feminist literature. Beverly turns to her when fleeing her husband Tom. She is brutally assaulted by Tom, who successfully extracts all she knows about his missing wife's whereabouts

I forgot about Kay. I'm not sure if they'd bother making an announcement about that casting, it'll be a small role. A couple of scenes tops I would have thought, especially depending on whether or not they stick with the scene where Tom brutally beats Bev's whereabouts out of her.

Who thinks this will be better than part 1? i always liked the adult part of the King story better than the kid one with the mini-series and the novel as i seen the kids fighting monster thing before and done better in Monster Squad.

Don't worry, Art Vandelay will comment on it soon enough. :o

To be honest in the mini series I found the Adult storyline to be a bit boring so Im hoping they can make it better in the movie.

Don't want to dwell on it, we've been told and warned about such discussion but I don't think it's just the similarity issue on the adult casting issue of Bev, it's about the actual actress choice to do with what each actress brings in the way to what was been brought to the table in the first part, one actress clearly transcends the characteristics better than the other. One is more adept at bringing those to the role than the other. I know which actress I would have chosen.

That's great and all, but Jessica is the one in the movie. So everyone has to get used to it :)

That's great and all and I appreciate it, but I won't. (Get used to too it and accept it as the correct choice, that is. Not bring it up here I mean). It prevents me from watching Part II, put it that way.

I was going to say why don't you wait until the film is released before making such grand assumptions but obviously you've got deeper issues if you refuse to see the movie because of it. Might as well not even post in this thread then.

It's how strongly I feel about it. That the actress chosen is completely the wrong choice.

Why don't we actually SEE the movie first? You can't know if the person was wrong for the role until the movie actually is tangible. Right now you're just judging based on your own head cannon and vision. That is faulty.

What makes me confused about this whole thing is that you win with either one. I really didn't think it'd still be talked about. Either one would have been a great choice imo.

I know my choice thanks, not preventing others from seeing it. I absolutely loved Part I and hope Part II does great things but I won't be seeing it. I know who is right for the part based on aesthetics and ability to convey what's in the book and what was seen in Part I.

Can't please everyone, LOL!

If you're choosing not to watch a movie solely because your fancast wasn't cast in the role you wanted, I'm sorry, but that's stupid. Plain and simple.

Pre-conceived opinions like this are bound to be criticized and deservedly so.
