If you're choosing not to watch a movie solely because your fancast wasn't cast in the role you wanted, I'm sorry, but that's stupid. Plain and simple.

Pre-conceived opinions like this are bound to be criticized and deservedly so.

Why is it stupid ? I believe in something that hasn't happened, that's not stupid, that's standing by what you believe in.

Chastain is going to be fine. This movie has a great cast. If you don't want to see it because she doesn't match what you personally pictured, that honestly is a "you" problem. I plan on actually judging her based on the merit of her work.

I'm not disputing its not a 'me' thing, just I would say it's a choice not a problem. Plus BTW people, I'm hardly alone in this thinking, given the nature of discussion on pages here, so why I'm getting so much **** when saying exactly the same thing as others, not quite sure.

If you don't like Jessica Chastain, that's fine.
But you don't know how she will portray Bev yet.
And again, if you decide not to see Chapter Two because of her,
that's your choice and I respect it, but don't say

Like we're all stepping into lava without knowing it

It's your opinion, but it's not what everyone thinks.
Yes, there are people who dislike her as Bev as much as you do,
but other people don't. I personally wouldn't like Amy Adams as Bev.
Lots of people do, but I don't. She's a great actress,
but Jessica Chastain for me has a more badass presence.
I don't know how exactly to put it. But I respect others if they think
Adams would've been better, I certainly wouldn't say to them
«go see Chapter Two and enjoy the _______ nature of Amy Adams»
if she'd been cast as Bev.

You know I wanted an older actress (IE one who was not in their 20's) to play Captain Marvel, and I said as much at the time.

But you know what, I moved on from that and am willing to give Brie Larson a chance in the role, and it's not going to stop me from seeing the movie regardless.

Yeah. The kids are up there shooting some stuff. I'm happy about that. The kid cast was a great group. Glad we're not seeing the last of them.

I'm honestly starting to think this film may end up being even better than chapter one, which I loved. And most of all, i'm so happy we have a director like Andy on this returning who is remaining as faithful as he can to the book.

I'll repeat, funny how other posters have stressed they are not happy with this casting too and no one is handing out 'kickings' to them.
