Horror Stephen King's "IT" Part I and Part II

Being chased by a naked old lady is a top fear of mine.

Need a trailer now! Know I must be patient, but it's hard!!

Awesome to hear that they're including the scene with Mrs Kersh. Gimme that trailer!

I just realized my cousin's birthday cruise is this same goddamn weekend and I'm kinda obligated to go, so hopefully I can score an early screening.

The director now keeps saying that the trailer won't drop with La Llrona....goddammit this nightmare won't end lol

They better not make us wait 'til Godzilla.

Some people say WB is intimidated by Endgame so they are waiting for it to release before dropping the IT trailer. Anyway, it would surprise me if they won't put it online this month.

Chapter One
had its first footage shown at SXSW on March 11th, and the teaser dropped on March 29th (about 5 months before the release date), but production for Chapter One ended in mid-September, while they finished shooting Chapter Two at the end of October, and Chapter Two probably has a bigger budget and a more complex post-production schedule, so I get why the first footage was shown at Cinemacon almost a month later. It would explain a month delay for this teaser, but not much longer, or it would be a little bit too close to release date.

Oh well, they know what they're doing. After all, Chapter One was a monster hit, and Warner initially didn't seem to put that much faith in it. Speaking of Marvel, yeah, Infinity War grossed 2 billion dollars, and it had a ~400 million dollar budget; Chapter One made "only" 700 million dollars, but had a 35 million budget. So Infinity War made 5 times its budget, while the first IT made like 20 times its budget, and this makes Chapter Two a potentially big hit.

So yeah, Marvel is quite intimidating, but I don't think WB is that afraid of Endgame. Or at least, not scared enough to hold marketing campaign for IT2 until the release date is less than 4 months away. It makes more sense that they let the Joker trailer breathe for a while, before using their second clown card in a row :)

PS:

To be exact, the teaser for Chapter One dropped 5 months and 10 days before the movie was released. Today (April 5th) we are 5 months and 1 day away from the release of Chapter Two.
Considering the fact that the first footage was shown less than a month later compared to Chapter One, it's not that big of a delay if the teaser pops up this month.

Anyway, if Endgame scares WB, they would be scared of every other big Disney release coming in the following months: Aladdin (may), Toy Story 4 (June), Lion King (July)… they would never release this trailer :D

Have they given anymore details on the Director's Cut for Chapter 1 they discussed a while back?

What does Endgame have to do with anything? That doesn’t make any sense.

Not that much, you're right.
But I've seen a lot of people saying they think WB is delaying the trailer for IT because they want to wait until hype for Endgame dies down after the release… which I doubt.

Nope, at this point I think any Director's Cut version will be released after Chapter 2, probably when Chapter 2 is released in home video as well.

You'd think they'd have one last week with The Curse of La Llorna. But no. What's the hold up? Do they not have enough footage ready because of effects?

Hoping we get one with Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Still gotta love the irony of McAvoy shaving his head for the past, what? Three years? ... and then playing this character, described as bald in the text, and well...
Yeah, he’s been bald since 2015. I’m personally relieved he’s been able to grow his hair out again, since he’ has such beautiful hair.
