I went with Dastmalchian because he's the one actor I feel has a reasonable resemblance to Finn Wolfhard. Wolfhard has such a distinct look to him. I think Ransone could also make a good Richie, and, personality at least, would be closer than Eddie, but I made him Eddie because he looks like Jack Grazer all grown up. (My earlier post had side by side comparisons, but you can only post 10 images per post.

Maybe Ben Feldman of Mad Men for Richie?

I totally see where you are coming from but I'm not sure casting older actors who look almost exactly like the kids is the way to go. I get wanting very similar features between the kid versions and the adult versions but in the end, I want actors who match well with the character personalities. As an example, that's why I like the idea of Bill Hader for Richie as Hader's personality and past acting work fit better with the character of Richie. I have nothing against Dastmalchian as he could actually be great for the part and while Hader and Wolfhard may not look exactly alike, Hader is a natural fit for Richie who is a more of a comedian.

Look at Wyatt Oleff and Chris Pratt in Guardians of the Galaxy. They don't really look alike but they have some similar features yet it was believable that the were the same character. Or all of the actors who played Chiron in Moonlight. Heck, look at the all of the actors who played the adult versions in the IT miniseries. As flawed as the miniseries is, the casting worked for me because the adult actors matched up with the kid versions of the characters.

I loved the kill them all bit with the kids and Pennywise in the audience with his arms around them. That is dark Joker type humor.

That TV thing is the best thing I've seen so far. That's exactly what I want, Pennywise abusing otherwise normal situations and being omnipresent.

Loving the TV spots, the movie is looking good.

I know we haven't seen the movie yet, but does anyone think the actor playing as Pennywise can play as the Joker?

New trailer next week.

Alright I'm gonna throw my hands up and say I'm DONE with trailers. I'm already beyond sold on this movie.
Who wants to join a no more trailers pact with me?

Yeah I'm there. We don't need to see anymore. Movie's sold. Let's just go watch it.

Sounds like it might be a theater exclusive.

It will probably be attached to Annabelle: Creation.

The look on that woman's face says it all.

I haven't read the book nor have I watched the tv mini series in its entirety (I have it recorded though so I do want to watch it when I get the chance), but man does this movie look really good. I'm very excited. I'm loving all this marketing, they've definitely sold me. I don't typically watch horror films simply because I don't find them scary so I think they're a waste of time unless I want to laugh with friends, but I genuinely feel I might walk away from this movie scared.

We may already have two trailers for Andy Muschietti’s upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s It, but looks like audiences seeing Annabelle: Creation next week should expect a brand new extensive look at the film.

Consumer Protection BC have rated a 4-minute-12-second extended footage reel for the film, no doubt to be attached to David F. Sandberg’s acclaimed Annabelle prequel which is released in North American and UK cinemas next week. We don’t expect this to be released online, so if the trailers weren’t enough and you’d like to see more from It, be sure to get your tickets for Annabelle: Creation.
