This will be a smashing success for a R-rated horror movie.

I hope they find the perfect cast for these characters as adults

I’m sure IT Part 2 will get the greenlight just after the first film is released and starts making big money. In terms of casting for Part 2, a few of the kid actors had some great picks, like Sophia Lillis wants Jessica Chastain for Beverly, Chosen Jacobs wants Chadwick Boseman for Mike and Finn Wolfhand wants Bill Hader as Richie.

We’ve discussed fan casting for the adult versions of the characters in the past but seeing that IT is so close to release, who does everyone want in Part 2?

My list:

Corey Stoll – Bill
Kelly Reilly - Beverly
Bill Hader – Richie
Scott Speedman – Ben
Colin Hanks – Eddie
Marcus Henderson – Mike
Johnny Galecki – Stan
Walton Goggins – Henry

I really, really liked that first encounter scene from the scripts I read. It was honestly one of my favorite scenes. It had a mystic almost mythological and really creepy vibe. It's a shame it was cut, and hope they use it for the sequel. I agree it felt out of place where it was in the script.

Yeah I actually really like all those choices but not sure Goggins would be a great choice, looks wise, to the kid they picked, who looks like is going to kill it as Bowers.

Adam Driver should be the grown up version of the kid from Stranger Things.

Not really right age-wise.

Decided to sift through all the promotional material we saw so far, in order to find and select
the most interesting details and easter eggs the filmmakers inserted in the movie.
Be wary of spoilers and… enjoy! (Sorry about my accent).

I love Adam Driver but couldn't pass for 40's like these characters need to be as adults.

His voice sounds pretty good there.

The balloon triangle is weird as ****.

Yeah, I've watched that video a dozen times since it came out and I'm fully convinced that Cat in the Hat should have been Pennywise.

I wonder if he'll ask Eddie if he wants a *******.

I wonder if he'll ask Eddie if he wants a *******.

Only if the MPAA is feeling very generous. Propositioning a child for oral sex seems like something they would balk at. Even when its a monster doing the propositioning.

That dialogue is from Georgie's encounter with Pennywise.

As for the leper/hobo offering Eddie 'a ******* for a dime' - there was nothing like that in the most recent draft I read.

That voice is really really creepy, something so off About it. More And more i am getting convinced this Will be a really good pennywise

Part 2 casting:

Bill- Joseph Gordon Levitt
Richie- Bill Hader (i know everyone else says Hader, but i can't think of a better person)
Ben- Bradley Cooper
Mike- Jeffery Wright
Bev- Alicia Witt
Stan- Ross Marquand
Eddie- Johnny Galecki
Henry- Kenny Johnson

The problem with Jeffrey Wright and Kenny Johnson is they are too old for the adult roles of Mike and Henry. If Joseph Gordon-Levitt was a few years older I would say he would be a great Bill. Alicia Watt would be a great Beverly!

Excuse me for asking but has part 2 not been filmed yet? That seems very strange to me.

Part 2 hasnt been filmed yet. The first film can stand entirely alone. If this film bombs and we never get a sequel this first film will act as a complete story. The studio just wants to see how the first film performs before they start throwing down millions for a sequel. Keep in mind that in the book even tho the children and adult story is intercut you could split off the kids story and publish that as its own book and the adult part could be published as a sequel book. (Personally I wish it had been published that way because the cutring back and forth annoyed the **** out of me.) Thats pretty much what they are doing here. They took the book and made a complete film from the kids story and hope to make a sequel from the adult story. This isnt one big 4 hour film shot all at once and broken into Part 1 and Part 2 with a "To be continued" at the end of Part 1.
