I'm hoping the new aliens are allies and not another enemy. just as there are good and bad humans, there has to be good and bad alien races.

at the very least, if they are not good, the new aliens can be a neutral party. they aren't interested in saving the humans per se but more so on stopping the fishhead species......

perhaps they are some kind of intergalactic bounty hunters or a special ops corp sent to track down the fishhead aliens.

I did express my wish awhile back in the thread for another race coming to Earth for invasion only having to fight the first race that invaded

I'd rather the new aliens be legit in their intent to actually help the humans or else be more of a neutral 3rd party that just wants to capture/kill the fishheads. they have no desire/plans for the humans or Earth.

This show is all over the place. Season 2 was off to a good start but I can't believe how badly it got towards the end. And those promos airing on TNT just ruined the "cliffhanger" for me. I mean what kind of an ad is that for a season finale?

Poor Dai. He didn't have much screen time this season. I think his biggest scene for the season before his death was "tick tick boom." Are we seeing the Expendables 2 move here? One Asian out, a new one in?

That structure either 1. prevented the new guys from entering Earth's atmosphere or 2. it called them here. I hope it isn't 2.

Whoa, his name was Dai? Sorry, I have to admit, I never even knew the guy's name. Is that pronounced like "die?" Because if it is, then well... I'm guessing he was screwed from the beginning.

so the overlord is dead, so now what happened to the chaos that was supposed to happen? maybe these new aliens are the soldiers of some intergalactic UN. or galactic freedom fighters. maybe Poe or the harnessed son will go with them when they eventually leave to help free other worlds.

Good finale except for the mind controlled Hal aspect, the last shot with the new alien arrival was awesome, very cinematic in quality.

My bet is these new aliens have been fighting the overlords for some time. They couldn't stop them from taking over the previous alien race (the skitters) so now they want to help prevent the overlords from taking over the humans.

it's getting kind of tired to harness up kids and speak through them........lol

and I wonder what triggered their arrival?

was it the death of that particular Overlord or the destruction of that weapon?

were they observing the battle from a distance? if so, how long and why didn't they make their presence known sooner?

I'm more excited for season 3 than I was for 2 at the end of 1..........

however, if the new guys turn out to be another conquering race, then I'll lose interest............one evil alien race is enough. we're pretty much screwed if there's now 2 races.......lol
