I wonder if they will be able to speak English or at least have some kind of translating device.

it's getting kind of tired to harness up kids and speak through them........lol

and I wonder what triggered their arrival?

was it the death of that particular Overlord or the destruction of that weapon?

were they observing the battle from a distance? if so, how long and why didn't they make their presence known sooner?

I'm more excited for season 3 than I was for 2 at the end of 1..........

however, if the new guys turn out to be another conquering race, then I'll lose interest............one evil alien race is enough. we're pretty much screwed if there's now 2 races.......lol

On the second watch they hinted at the device that was pointing up in the sky. That the fish heads were making. Was probably maybe blocking their arrival

Deadline:
Robert Sean Leonard & Gloria Reuben Join TNT’s ‘Falling Skies’ In Recurring Roles
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

EXCLUSIVE: In his first post-House gig, Robert Sean Leonard has signed on for a five-episode arc on TNT’s sci-fi drama Falling Skies. Also set for a five-episode arc on the upcoming third season of Falling Skies is ER alumna Gloria Reuben, reuniting with her ER co-star, Falling Skies‘ leading man Noah Wyle.

Leonard, repped by WME and manager Danny Sussman, will play Roger Kadar, PhD, an obsessive but gifted scientist who runs Charleston’s power grid and lives underground with his pet rats. The children of New Charleston, intrigued by his cool science toys and unusual pets, eventually dub him “The Rat King.” For the past eight seasons, Leonard played Gregory House’s (Hugh Laurie) best friend and moral compass Dr. James Wilson on the Fox medical drama. Following his arc on Falling Skies, he is likely to return to series full-time as he is already fielding interest for pilots.

Reuben, repped by APA and manager Estelle Lasher, will play Marina Perlata, an aide to Wyle’s Tom Mason, who has been one of the leaders from the human resistance movement against an invading alien force. Attractive and a very put together woman, Marina is extremely intelligent and her political knowledge and experience could prove extremely helpful to Tom. This marks Reuben’s return to TNT where she starred in the legal drama Raising The Bar. She will next be seen in Lincoln.

PICTURES!!!!!! :argh:

:oldrazz:

sounds like the 2nd Mass will be static for a while in New Charleston...

Oh ****....

EW:
EW has confirmed that sci-fi fave Doug Jones has joined the show’s cast, as Jones and showrunner Remi Aubuchon tweeted on Sunday. Jones is known for such roles as Abe Sapien and the Angel of Death in the Hellboy movies and the Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. A TNT rep tells EW that Jones will portray the new alien introduced at the end of last weekend’s season 2 finale.

No word yet on whether Jones, known for his performances in prosthetics and rubber suits, will don makeup for the bat-like — but humanoid — new species, or whether he’ll portray the character through performance capture, as done with Falling Skies‘ overlord aliens.

Holy ****, these are some tremendous casting moves.

I notice Tom is getting an "aide," and they are staying in Charleston. Sounds like the new development will convince Tom to accept the position of president. If so, I kinda dig it. It will create some interesting role reversals and new dynamics.

Doug Jones coming on board definitely means they plan on fleshing this guy out to be more than just some one dimensional monster.

That's what I was thinking and I agree that it's a good idea as it will put Tom in a different role, one where Weaver and Anne will answer to him as regards their roles in New Charleston.

Doug Jones coming on board definitely means they plan on fleshing this guy out to be more than just some one dimensional monster.

Definitely, and they couldn't have gotten a better guy to bring the character to life.

Nice news on casting love Wilson and Doug Jones which is great.

I got to say this show has been keeping me interested by the casting choices. I watched season 1 because of Patton, season 2 because of Locke (but he didn't appear fierce last episodes), and now season 3 because of Wilson.

Wow. I hope they get a huge SFX budget increase, then.

I got the impression that there is more than one of this guy, or maybe he's the leader because of all the pods falling.

Love this show and the new additions are awesome. Especially Doug as the Alien.

The Alien looked like a total badass for the 30 or so seconds he was on screen.

Keck's Exclusives: Falling Skies Casts 7th Heaven Minister as President
by William Keck

While America prepares to vote for its next Commander in Chief, TNT's Falling Skies has tapped a classic TV dad to play its president. Stephen Collins, best known as 7th Heaven's wise Rev. Eric Camden, will appear in the fourth episode of Skies' third season as Benjamin Hathaway, who served as the President of the United States prior to the alien invasion.

The character is described as a confident man exuding charisma who has been forced into combat against the aliens. Stationed in Colorado, he has been sending out sniper teams all over the nation to locate survivors. He wants to meet Tom (Noah Wyle) to see how he and the 2nd Mass have been winning the war against the outer space creatures.

The series is set to return to TNT in summer 2013.

Nice! These are all great suggestions. Also, a piece of trivia I'm surprised they didn't mention; Reuben costarred with Wyle on ER for several seasons.

And Captain Decker! I wonder if the bald lady will make an appearance. Or maybe just his kids, Dennis and Dee.

Great, GREAT Casting.

I think the New Aliens are only going to be interesting if they're a third party. Since we found out the Fishheads don't want to destroy the Earth, but are likely just here for supplies, the third aliens are probably here to destroy the supplies, which is good cuz they'll help fight the Fishheads, but bad because they're kinda blowing up the planet.

I like it.

Set Pic

 What the **** am I looking at here? Flashback? Or does Mason just suddenly happen to find clean clothes and get a shave and a haircut? :funny:

Awww I was hoping for a flashback to their introduction. :csad:
