Steven Spielberg's Falling Skies

Hal may have won the Maggie battle but not the Maggie war

This plot line is brutal and is on it's way to making all three characters look bad.

Ben, most especially. He apparently feels no remorse over trying to put the moves on his brother's girlfriend.

this season has been pretty meh so far.

just feels so directionless and not much progress.

the whole season feels like a "filler" season.

Ben , with super powers comes super puberty.

Dude's like pfft, I really don't care that I'd be totally screwing over my older brother, who's largely a pretty decent guy. I'm perplexed as to how anyone is supposed to sympathize with Ben.

That said, I'm still wagering that one of him or Hal bites it before the season wraps. There's no way the entire Mason clan can remain so unscathed.

Starting to feel like every ****-up that happens is ALWAYS the fault of one of the Mason family. They just do some stupid **** in every episode lol

^^
Indeed. I think I've never disliked a main character so much, his girlfriend is hysterical, his two younger sons annoying as hell, only Hal is fine. If it wasn't for the supporting cast and the scifi aspect I would have dished the show.
I'm not sure I will watch the next season.

That last episode was too predictable. You knew the girl was a traitor, and she did exactly what was expected. You knew Ben would make a move on Maggie, he did exactly that. You knew Hal would see it and that's exactly what happened. And to top it off, you know the Mason clan (now plus 1) would and will find some way to completely sabotage whatever efforts the rest of the group make even though they are trying to help.

I expect the season finale to be one or all of the Masons somehow getting almost everyone else completely killed off in some total screw up brought on by one of the sons.

Yep. It'll probably be Hal who with his last dying breathe tells Ben to take care of Maggie or something cheesy like that. :whatever: Someone is dying on that moon mission.

Chocise had some funny moments in this latest episode.

Anyone else decidedly annoyed at how they spent an entire hour building up the moon attack, and had all these emotional goodbyes... And then had it all come to a screeching halt at Lexi's arrival? Like, really? Just when something was actually going to happen...

She's a Mason. That's how they roll.

I think Ben and Maggie make a better couple that her and Hal, imo. Funny how Hal said that Matt would end up marrying her…made Maggie sound like a real…you know what!

Glad Lexi got to do some cool stuff with her powers; looking forward to the 2 hour finale next week because of it.

Wasn't Hal already messing around on Maggie in season 3?

Also what happened to Deni? I thought she liked Ben.

.

AFAIC, it makes me hurl. A 15 y/o with a 25+ woman ? My suspension of disbelieve doesn't go that far. If it was the other way around some of the audience would be crying sex abuse.

Didn't Maggie start going out with Hal when he was like 16?

15 or 16 y/o it's the same thing, it's not one year that will make this relationship believable for me (if he was 20 and her 30, ok, it could fly).
It's not so much the age difference that bother me, it's him being that young and her 10 years older ( or so ).

I thougth Pope and Weaver would end up piloting the ship to the Moon, I really like their dynamic. Tom's need to be at the center of everything is making him less likable, he was better as the put-upon survivor and reluctant hero.

Lexi grew on me this episode

naw, I was siding with the burned face Overlord. "End her."

Yeah I would have liked that pairing too. Now it'll probably Tom and Lexi. Hope Lexi doesn't come back. And yes, that bit about Tom wanting to be the center of that universe really is getting annoying.

yep.

I'm glad Ben got on that. Good on you Ben. :oldrazz:

That was my dream as a 15 year old kid to get with a older woman. :woot:

Agreed.

Someone remind me; didn't Pope and co, use Maggie as a sex slave initially..?
