Sci-Fi Stranger Things (Netflix) - Part 1

Given the amount of time between seasons, I'll be gladly taking those massive, massive episodes.

I'm sure I'll enjoy the final season but the massive breaks between the final three seasons really killed a lot of the momentum for me. Granted, it wasn't all the fault of the creatives since Covid hit between 3 & 4 and the WGA/SAG strike between 4 & 5 but splitting the season over 5 weeks after this long a wait is still a dick move on Netflix's part.

I keep hearing this whole thing about how the long break between seasons hurts the show, there isn’t any hype and that it’s not going to do well and it never pans out that way at all. People said the same thing about season 4 before it came out, that Covid happening kneecapped any popularity or momentum it had and that it wouldn’t do as well, and…well, look what happened.

Mark my words, once the marketing and hype engine really gets going and it’s finally released, it’s all that people are going to be talking about for the next couple months afterwards and any doubts people had about it doing well will be a long and forgotten memory.

People aren’t going to be hyped for it…until they are.
