Well... It stretches the concept a bit for me, I guess it would depend on the execution. He just seems a overly powerful as a character to be on the Squad. I also think it feels gimmicky. The Squad is it's own thing with it's own internal logic and specific milieu. To me having Zoom, any version is akin to having Sinestro on the Squad. I don't want to imagine the convolutions or contrivances needed to bring that about, and it sort of goes against the covert ops nature of the Squad having him there, though of course he would be an enormous asset for any mission, especially compared to any other member of the Squad. It just seems a bit much to me.
