Suicide Squad: General Discussion and Speculation - - - - Part 13

This film seems like a bunch of origin stuff going on in the first half.

I posted a rumor a while back about the wife of one of the producers blabbing about the script.

Saying how it's mostly origin stories until the end.

I get the feeling the storyline will be nonlinear. Might just be the Reservoir Dogs sorta vibe I get from it though.

I won't be surprised if it does go that way. Eh, it will depend on how Ayer does things.

Why would the wife of a producer have been allowed to read the script, much less talk about it? The rumors source is more than a little questionable.

The Harleen-Joker scene looks amazing. If that means a lot of focus on origins, so be it. A good movie is a good movie.

I wasn't going to say anything but yeah this

You guys noticed how June Moon (Enchantress) is looking scared in her reflection in the water?

I think she's kinda absent, isn't really looking anywhere.

I love the imagery of the bathtub scene. Very eerie especially in the context of the Comic-Con trailer.

Suicide Squad is trending worldwide on Twitter. This movie continues to get people's attention.

Katana apparently having the full-on Soultaker Sword (apparently) is a nice surprise, I wasn't expecting that. And her being a "volunteer" only makes the "she's actually Batman's spy on the team" seem all the more plausible.

haven't been following suicide squad for a while, question

has anyone working on the film mentioned ARGUS as the organization that Amanda Waller/suicide squad work for?

I just saw a **************.com article call Amanda Waller the "ARGUS Boss". don't know if there making a guess or its a fact

Pretty sure that's a guess.

Here's the piece about Amanda Waller by the way, it confirms the neck bombs:

Asked by Empire Magazine what Task Force X's mission is going to be, director David Ayer wouldn't give any specifics away, but did drop a rather intriguing hint about what they'll be up to. "They're after a high value target that they have to go in and rescue. When they make the attempt, they realise that's not the end." So, things are clearly going to go horribly wrong for the team at some point in the movie, but don't expect a traditional good versus bad story. In fact, the biggest threat to them may just end up coming from within! "F**k good versus bad," Ayer adds. "Bad versus evil is a lot more interesting. And Amanda Waller is the worst there is."

That's right, Task Force X's leader might just be the worst person in Suicide Squad. After all, she's the on responsible for injecting what the magazine describes as "nanobombs" into the neck of each villain to keep them under control. "She's relentless in her villainy," Suicide Squad star Viola Davis explains. "When you look at her, there's nothing that seems dangerous. Her only power is her intelligence and her complete lack of guilt. I read a great book called Confessions of a Sociopath, which was frightening but very helpful..."

They're going with the bombs to the neck idea, cool. It'll be interesting to see if someone manages to get it out and escape. Any guesses about this "high value target" who needs to be rescued ?
