After seeing some complaints in here about the movie having comedy, I wonder who they would feel if they included the pie subplot.

I thought Batfleck was the best Batman ever in BvS.

However, in just these few scenes I think version looks to be better.

Crazy.

Maybe if Ben doesn't direct the solo Batman movie he can get Ayer.

Yea, while he was shot pretty well in BvS, I really like how he looks with Suicide Squad's aesthetics. The more grounded look compliments him while not taking away from how fantastic he is.

Being politically correct doesn't work. Just say it like it is, Batsy.

You're right...I tried to be PC, and got a silly response, anyway:

You mean the first movie where he literally risked the lives of everyone on the planet to selfishly save the girl he loved... you know the one he'd known for about a week?

Or the second movie, where he ran away from a fight with Zod, Ursa and Non, leaving them to do god know's what damage to Metropolis while he flew back to the Fortress of Solitude, then tricking them to becoming powerless before killing them all? Oh and beating up a normal guy for macho revenge when he got his powers back?

You mean that reputation? :cwink:

But his response actually makes sense...

I wish August was here already.

Confidential Music has finally released the Bee Gees cover from the SDCC trailer:

Nerdist has a video breakdown that points to the Joker being the guy in the subway.

Yeah, this trailer clearly has much the same tone as the previous two. And I can't bring myself to complain about Batman being in a Suicide Squad movie. Not yet.

Botht trailers focus on this structure:
1st third: These people have a bad life, and are in prison, and going nowhere.
2nd third: Spotlighting the personalities involved and how they interact.
3rd third: The characters get to have some fun, ushered in by "Let's have some fun" and "Let's play" respectively.

In the previous trailer, the "fun" was action and mayhem. In this trailer, the "fun" is action, more heightened mayhem, and a few jokes.

I think there were actually more jokes in the previous trailer. There's a better balance of action and humor in this latest one.

Anyone else loving the music choices in the trailers?

The songs themselves, of course. (At least Bohemian and Blitz; the other one in this new trailer was just alright, and that weird "I Started a Joke" remix does nothing for me, but overall, yeah.) And they work great in the trailer too.

Of course, the last big-budget movie to reference a classic punk song with "Blitz" in the title was Pan, and we all remember how well that went.
:o:oldrazz:

Like many people I assume Ayer didn't even see Pan, so he didn't even know the song was in that movie. However Bohemian Rhapsody and Ballroom Blitz were both in Wayne's World.

I'm actually excited for the part where they're in the bar.
I feel like that's gonna be a fun scene. :D
