I am sure they are doing makeup tests, but i dont think WB would want him showing that off. Joker would be the last official photo i'd want to release if i was them.

Nah, they want to have everything accounted for and planned before the first day of shooting. No surprises. There are definitely unexpected things that happen, but costume/make-up is something they never want to rush through on Day One.

I think you misread my post, or I've worded it badly.

I thought all the make-up and stuff would have been done a while ago, like you said, everything is organised way before shooting.

I imagine this is the first day of make-up tests for Leto. Ayer and Co. probably have The Joker's look figured out for the most part, but they'll do some experimenting today.

We aren't getting anything substantial.

Well i assume they do concept art and decide on a design well in advance. I am sure they had his look pinned down awhile ago.

They probably do tests on stand-ins further in advance if necessary if the actors themselves aren't yet available.

I just want to see Leto properly groomed, make up or no make up. I wanna be able to look at him and say "That's it. That's our Joker." in the same way I look at the pics of Ledger on set of TDK without the make-up. Something about it just "wows" me.
