If Max Martini is in the running it's probably for Flag Junior, not Flag Senior.

Max Martini again. For f*** sake.

Can someone explain to me why WB apparently has such a Woodrow for this guy? He's generic and boring in everything. The best compliment I could give him is that his presence doesn't ruin a movie, if only because he's so completely unmemorable. The rest of these casting rumors are pretty good, but why won't this guy's name go away?

There are certain actors Hollywood or studios want to make happen, sometimes they just have deals with them.

Urban or Harris for Slade Wilson plz

Urban as Slade? Hell yeah. He would be a real good Orm, but as Slade? Damn... That would be something. A far better choice than Joe.

Yeah, I know they do that... sometimes though, I just wonder, "Why him?" ya know? I mean, I can understand Hollywood trying to make someone like Chris Hemsworth a thing. But what's the allure in pushing Generic Grizzled Action Guy #6 here? Has any moviegoer on earth seriously seen him in his roles as "old boring guy" in Pacific Rim or "second of third guy to die, can't remember which" in Sabotage and said, "WOW! GIVE ME SOME MORE OF THAT!"

That said, if the role is indeed for Rick Flag Sr. and they are looking at actors in their late 30s/early 40s to play Rick Flag Jr., then this part if probably just in flashbacks and very small, so that's likely the perfect role for Martini.

Deathstroke as a competing assassin sounds awesome if true.

One problem I have. Is this all in Arkham? I mean why would Joker be in some other prison? Makes more sense to have it in Arkham.

Still, this film will be ****ing epic.

Belle Reve gives the movie the opportunity to cameo many more villains than just those of Batman. So that's more franchises to launch, and Belle Reve is also an important location for the Suicide Squad in the comics.

Reportedly [BLACKOUT]Waller transfers the Joker from Arkham to Belle Reve to reign in Harley Quinn.[/BLACKOUT]

Yup.

Only thing I'm not a fan of is Joe Manjello possibly being Slade.

I'd agree there are better choices out there but I could buy Joe as Deathstroke. He looks like he could take out an army.

It's under David Ayer's direction so I could buy it. I just think there are much better choices. But if he were cast, I wouldn't be mad.

Oh I agree, there are plenty of better people out there. My dream choice for the role (at least right now) is Brad Pitt. After seeing Fury, I'd be over the moon if he was cast as Slade. But that probably will never happen.

I'm not too familiar with Manganiello but I'd have no problems with him being Slade.

I've seen him in several things and I think he's solid. I feel like he gets more hate than he deserves simply because he's apparently been up for a number of superhero roles.

I mean, some "experts" out there on Deathstroke won't accept anyone but Manu Bennett playing the character, even on film. I'm sorry, but my idea of Deathstroke isn't an Australian schizophrenic who is obsessed with a dead girl he never even slept with.

I just feel, acting wise that Joe doesn't have the screen presence to pull off a role like Deathstroke (and I ain't exactly ARROW's biggest fan, so it's not being blinded by Manu in the part on TV). He's a physical specimen but he's very "meh" in about every other aspect that one would hope an actor would have to make Slade a great character on screen. Now, maybe the man could up his game if he gets the part? Maybe he'll surprise me and other doubters? But from past jobs he's had he's made little to no impact as a performer on me. To my eyes Deathstroke is a big role in the DCU and should also be so for this new DCCU. There is a reason people think that Slade on the big screen should have the talent if not the star power of a Brad Pitt or the like in the part.
