LOL, it's a good show and Manu is pretty good on it, actually. The problems I have with the Deathstroke character aren't his fault; he was doing great in the role until they turned him into a big bad in season 2. It was a bit of a hackjob.

Manu Bennett gave an excellent performance as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. It could be even better with him being directed by David Ayer for a big-budget film. I genuinely don't get the hate for him.

Back on point though.....when's Brad Pitt signing on as Slade?

I get more the feeling Karl Urban is for Deathstroke (if the rumors are true about him in the Squad, or in Aquaman as Orm) just as even Variety did say Smith was for Captain Boomerang.

And either Joel or Jason Clarke would be great for Flagg.

Unless filming on Star Trek 3 is pushed back again, Urban would have to film any part in Suicide Squad in pretty short order near the start of the shoot.

I just realized.

With The Joker locked up for most of the film (presumably), I wonder if that means he will be permawhite.

If he wears makeup, then the first thing they'd realistically do in a prison or mental institution is clean it off his face. And Lord knows where's not just going to get Jared Leto sitting in a cell for two hours.

Anybody else like the idea of Deathstroke and Deadshot having a beef throughout the film? I just like the idea of giving Smith's Lawton an underdog role against someone as dangerous as Slade, especially if the person playing Slade can go full-on condescending on him for most of the film, maybe even destroy him in a close range fight, then have the end feature Lawton getting a shot in.

Deadshot has no business with Deathstroke in a close range hand to hand fight. If they have Deadshot win in a fight like that I might get grouchy. Otherwise ya it'd be cool to see them kind of go at it in the movie if the rumors are to be believed Deathstroke competing with the squad sounds awesome.

Viloa is pretty much confirmed with her saying she's reading up on Amanda Waller. So at least there's that.

But this latest round of rumours I want confirmed.

I can just picture Deadshot about to assassinate someone at the start of the film, only to have Deathstroke destroy his rifle and tell him that he was warned to stay away from Slade's targets, then when Deadshot starts trying to fight him, Deathstroke takes out his staff and just annihilates Deadshot, says he's not worth killing because he's not getting paid, and that's how Deadshot gets captured.

And then we can later find out that Deathstroke is under contract to Luthor, and he was actually helping Luthor set up the Squad and the prison break so Lex can get his Legion of Doom.

I know it's just a rumor, but the more I think about it the more I like the idea of a Hannibal lecter type role for Joker in this movie.

I think that tack is the best way to integrate him and Harley into the film. Joker in the field with the Squad makes no sense at all, same with Harley. However if Harley is Joker's "babysitter" sent with him from Arkham while The clown stays back in Belle Reeve as the team is on mission... Yeah that's way more palatable to me. Plus it allows for Joker and Harley not to over shadow the rest of the story yet still have them as part of the over all plot.

I don't know if we will see her converting here... but one thing for sure is that Harley will be part of the Suicide Squad team.
