Hardy dropped out because The Revenanat is running over schedule and won't finish before May and then he has to promote Mad Max:Fury Road.

Yeah, Fury was one of the best films of 2014. Also, while we're on the subject of Hardy, I just watched The Drop. Another excellent performance by Tom. Shame he's not in this movie, but it's all good.

I didn't like the movie, but Hardy was stellar as usual. Can't wait for Mad Max.

Fury/End of Watch/Training Day's Script... Sorry, what is there to complain about Ayer? That underwhelming Arnold flick? That's about it. If anything his entire filmography and scripts to date suggest he's the perfect guy for this job.
