Joker by brian azzarello

Its all about how Johnny Frost(also in Suicide Squad) gets a front row seat to the spectacle that is the Joker

Captain Boomerang is a hard sell but yeah they could easily turn that into a Flash Rogues movie and you are gold.

Azzarello's "Joker" always reminded me of Clive Barker's "Damnation Game", for all the superficial reasons - small-time crook released from prison gets to work for an unpredictable and strange guy and is tossed into a crazy world where he gets much more than he bargained for. Even the ex-wife part is there.

Anyway, I did enjoy the book and its more real-world take on the Joker, as a psychopathic gang-leader, but that characterization is not something I want to see outside that sole comic book. It takes out too many things that make the Joker unique and reduces him to a random unhinged crime lord.

@_Rene_V about an hour and 45 mins maybe more or less. I didn't know the time frame cause I didn't have a phone or a watch lol

@_Rene_V It was the first showing so they said it wasn't finished. They told us if we saw anything wrong with it to let them know and stuff

Depending on the action and pace, the movie can feel short when it's actually at least 2 hours. Or the other way around - it may be very short, but while you're watching it, it feels like it takes forever to end. Like a boring class in school. :oldrazz: She also says she didn't have a watch or a phone with her, so that 1h and 45 min. is just a wild guess.

Isn't it an incomplete version anyway? Final cut might be longer.

Ouch... So short.

Hopefully they're still adding things. Although I read some fans were suggesting they remove some things.

They had a pretty long shoot. So if its 1 hr 40 then a bit is on the cutting room floor. Just watch the extras on Blu-ray.

Ayer directed five movies so far and only one had 120+ min runtime. If the movie doesn't stop to show us ads for future DC movies then I'm fine with shorter runtime. LOL. Of course under 110 min would be suspicious but I don¨t like this trend when every Transformers movie is like 150 min.

Margot Robbie on Harley Quinn

"David [Ayer] really wanted her to be strong, badass and nuts — but fun as well. Whenever I would be inclined to play into the comedy or play her more likable, he'd always direct me the other way. He wanted her to be pretty vicious."

Viola Davis on Amanda Waller

"'How can I be a badass?' I had to do it internally. Of course I wore my 'fro. And I embraced her bio. That was all I had. I didn't have a cape or a golden lasso."

Cara Delevingne on June Moone / Enchantress

"David [Ayer] asked me to go into a forest under a full moon and take my clothes off to feel what nature felt like, to feel what it felt like to be an animal. And I did it. It didn't sound that weird to me."

Karen Fukuhara on Katana

"She has this samurai spirit, and that's something I've been watching and learning about my whole life. I felt like I knew Katana as soon as I read the comic."

It is a bit weird for it to have that running time, but supposed to be a very dense film as well.

I wonder when the next screening is.

Have any of the attendees at the screenings said anything about the soundtrack or the score? Like what songs are in the movie or how good the score is?

Any idea if they are showing advanced screenings soon?

A guy was handing out movieview flier invites last night for an advance screening next week for a new action film from a major studio coming out this summer. The guy passing it out said something like if you are into movies like X-Men and Captain America, you should come. It'll probably end up being ID4, but *crosses fingers*.

There will be around 10 minutes of credits so the "real" runtime is 95 minutes. That's not nearly enough time to set up and develop all these new characters and villains and involve Batman. And this not being the final cut isn't remotely reassuring. It's highly unlikely they would add 20+ minutes of character development and other important material into the film this close to the release date. That runtime of this cut is most likely going to be what we get in theaters.

With this runtime and the rumor about there being [BLACKOUT]multiple Jokers[/BLACKOUT] I'm losing faith and anticipation.

In response to your last line, that is just in the comics.

The person did say that they didn't have their phone with them or a watch so that estimate is most likely going by how the movie's pacing felt and the [BLACKOUT]multiple Jokers[/BLACKOUT] is in the comics, not the movies.
