Joker by brian azzarello
Its all about how Johnny Frost(also in Suicide Squad) gets a front row seat to the spectacle that is the Joker![]()
Captain Boomerang is a hard sell but yeah they could easily turn that into a Flash Rogues movie and you are gold.
Azzarello's "Joker" always reminded me of Clive Barker's "Damnation Game", for all the superficial reasons - small-time crook released from prison gets to work for an unpredictable and strange guy and is tossed into a crazy world where he gets much more than he bargained for. Even the ex-wife part is there.
Anyway, I did enjoy the book and its more real-world take on the Joker, as a psychopathic gang-leader, but that characterization is not something I want to see outside that sole comic book. It takes out too many things that make the Joker unique and reduces him to a random unhinged crime lord.
She also says she didn't have a watch or a phone with her, so that 1h and 45 min. is just a wild guess.
