eh, they got paid handsomely, clearly had a great time filming and made friends, and ultimately good or bad non of them had any creative control over the finished product to be considered at fault or accountable. they will all be just fine.

Every time I start feeling bad about the cast, I try to remember this.

Also, this film isn't gonna tank their careers.

I just wish Will and Margot would star in a critically acclaimed film together. I think they have good chemistry.

It does seem stupid to cram so much stuff into two movies though. BvS and SS should have never been burdened with such tasks.

Um what? This is going to open 10-20+ million more then the August record GotG.

I was referring to most fan opinions online.

It's obvious it'll still make a buttload of money on its opening weekend, but like BvS, most of the negative reviews will greatly affect it afterwards. Although I guess audience reaction is key, so we'll see.

Wow that Hollywood Reporter article makes some pretty condemning accusations. But it's no wonder the movie has so many rough edges with the accusation of "multiple editors" and "competing cuts." The movie definitely comes off that way and a lack of a unified vision.

lol i love how everyone is saying how dumb this is... Yet they are all using it to get clicks....

Let's hope Affleck can salvage Croc, Deadshot and Joker for his solo movie.

Joker will be fine when he gets a legit script. So I know Affleck/Johns can handle that.

I'm glad to see such positive thoughts on Deadshot, Harley and Croc. Getting excited about them possibly being in a a Batman movie/along with Joker.

Save us Affleck!

So much for WB being a director friendly environment, at least not when it comes to post-Nolan DC movies.

At least Momoa is having fun at the premier:

...and BvS was meant to open 180+.

Best to just wait and see what happens, eh?

Even 20 million less is beating the august record
I think they just need to make 100m to even get the August record which they will then use as a trophy to prop up the movie going forward.

BvS was tracking somewhere close to 190-200 m
It dropped down to 150+ with bad reviews

Suicide Squad is tracking at 130-140m right now
bad reviews it might go down to 100-110

Still got the august record on lock.
It would have to have a disastrous saturday and have one movie cut into its box office big time for it to go beneath 100m

Hopefully only BvS and SS that need to do the heavy lifting for the universe building.

They are trying to capitalize on fan stupidity, just like movies do all the time.

Havent thought about it, but man I kind of would hate if I end up liking/loving this movie. Only because I hate having to defend DC films. They should be good enough for all of us to me. Not just hardcore fans who are willing to overlook some of the flaws.

Fandom is great when the movies are quality enough for everyone to enjoy.

This whole "catching up with Marvel" thought process over at WB is mainly the major cause of those two films being overstuffed to holy hell, they're multiple stories trapped into a single film desperately trying to advance its universes course in order to catch up with the competition rather than telling a great coherent story.

DC and WB should've built this universe at a steady pace rather than putting all their eggs into one basket every couple of months starting last March.

But ironically that reasoning is kind of why i'm still excited for the Wonder Woman film, because it's an origin story set decades before the events of all their other films rather than being another overstuffed world builder.

Hope i'm right about that though, because i'll be damned if WB royally screws up a female superhero film with so much potential and hype.

I don't like Grace Randolph, but spoilers review is even more brutal than her reaction video.

Anyone got a transcript I can read? I tried watching this but then I remembered that Grace's voice is the equivalent of Freddie Krueger scratching his clawed glove across the world's longest chalkboard while stomping a hyena to death at the same time.

Yeah I have my issues with it but I really enjoyed it so it sucked to see when the reviews come out and it's getting sickening and just making me boil up reading some of the dumb stuff I see people saying, I've been trying to stick away but I've been checking up on these forums and other places every day leading up to release so it's hard not to.

Never would have guess Drew would like this movie so much.

Saw SUICIDE SQUAD again. Big hit with the whole family. The characters land, and that makes all the difference.

.

That's right. It's effectively a stand alone. Disregard her brief appearance in BvS, and WW could be DC's equivalent of Iron Man.

I think the person most disappointed by all of this is C. Lee

WB making him work overtime to maintain the integrity of this board, they owe him an apology

With a more linear story, it has chance to work better.
