Rumors now of Batman in Suicide Squad from El Myimbe... I don't know... Seems too good to be true and too much like what fans want to hear. I won't mind if it's true. Give me as much Batman as I can handle I say. I just don't know if this is all kosher, these rumors.

That all seems fishy FA. It's why I have a hard time believing it. I mean it's possible sure, but... Yeah, it seems there's a real lack of weight to this one. And wouldn't Bats playing a part in the film be something that would have been promoted the hell out of? I mean, we see how Spidey being in Civil War has been hyped, and that's a guest starring role in an already thriving franchise. No one knows Suicide Squad. You'd think that Batman's involvement, however small or large would be a big selling point.

Meeting someone and hearing about someone are 2 different things completely. If Harley is just starting out I don't see how it is far fetched that Joker is the only one in the movie who has met him. The only other Batman villain is Deadshot and he is really just kind of a Batman villain. The rumor is probably not even true though wasn't he the one who had a completely different Batman in Suicide Squad scoop?

Nope. LR previously said "Waller is tracking down and capturing every super powered hero and villain and it is implied that she is after Batman but he is not in the film, only mentioned and shown on camera footage," which is completely consistent with this.

But I agree, the Joker being the only one who has met with Batman can mean a million things. He could be the only villain who has had a meaningful conversation with him or the Joker being the only connection could easily be just as far as Waller and the government know. If the rumors about

Jim Gordon being dead are true, he almost certainly has met Batman.

Maybe Joker is the only bad guy who's had significant interactions with him, or actually had a conversation with him? As opposed to everyone else, who sees him for a brief period of time before getting the tar beat out of them.

Yeah, I would assume it's something more like that. Unless this Batman just kills anyone he comes in contact with, like Burton's Batman. But if that's the case, I would think the Joker would be dead too.

Speaking of Focus, this weekend it crossed the $100 million mark for its worldwide gross. Its worldwide gross is currently just under $102 million.

Yeah this is exactly what I got out of it. I doubt Batman will have much, if any of a presence in Suicide Squad.

Generally, I dig the new rumor. I mean, it's from Eh Maybe and I'm not a big fan of that guy, but if it turns out to be true then cool.

But I don't believe at all that he's the only one who's ever met him. I think the Joker would be the essential piece in tracking down Batman once and for all, and if the Suicide Squad revolves around the idea of trying to get a hold of Joker then I'm down for it.

And I do think that Batman will be in Suicide Squad one small way or another. I just can't seem separate the two of them.

I'm really not liking this 'urban legend' idea that keeps getting tossed out... it doesn't make much sense!

We're getting a Batman who's a veteran - this latest rumour says the Joker is the only one to have seen him in person... what, so no Penguin, Riddler, Two-Face etc., and what about Gordon and the Gotham P.D.?
Not to mention the big, unmistakable car he drives around... and there's talk of drones? ...erm big NO on that one for me!
Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, El Chupacabra are legends... they wouldn't be if they drove big bloody cars around the place!
Let's face it, in a career of 5 or more years, facing off against ordinary thugs and extraordinary rogues (such as the Joker), he will have had to fight in plain site at some point – i'm sure the Joker doesn't just wait around in trading estates where there are no witnesses to his face-offs with Bats!

First public SUPERHERO... Batman isn't a superhero!
I'm sorry, but I just don't buy that a guy dressed as a bat could operate in a major US city, beating the crap out of bad guys, dealing with over-the top villains and driving a Batmobile around town without being noticed!
Hell, even if they go with the legend thing, he's still gonna be reported on in papers, tv etc., and in today's world of social media, then it just doesn't work!
I get that Superman will be the catalyst for other 'supers', but Batman has to be an established hero, who people know exists!

If the movie is set modern day - and in a realistic world, then there's no way he'd avoid media of some description - hell, he'd be caught on mobile phone for a start. The urban legend thing just doesn't work!
Yeah, at the start of his career - but not at the stage he's supposed to be at in these movies.

Yeah he operates at night, but what does he do if the Joker decides to pull some stunt in the middle of Gotham's biggest square - lots of people about, who the Joker plans to kill... does Batman hideaway in an alley because there's no shadows to hide in?
The SAS were probably about the most secretive special forces unit in the world, yet one day in April 1980 they had to rescue hostages from the Iranian Embassy in London – that one act displayed them for the world to see!
Batman will be thrust into situations by his enemies that will leave him open to being caught on film or photographed - I'm not saying he'd stop for interviews or whip out his bat-credit card like George Clooney, but his existence should be fact.
I'd actually like to see an interchange between Lois and Clark, where Lois says "did you think you were the only one? There's this guy in Gotham that's been doing this for years!", prompting Clark to go and seek him out.
