RT brings together critical consensus and reviews. If you are looking for reviews before you spend your money, where better to go then to RT or Metacritic, where you get access to a lot of reviews?

This isn't a new thing. Roger Ebert wasn't famous for no reason.

I'm talking Rotten Tomatoes and it's score of a film specifically, not one specific critic. Not a difficult concept to grasp. If I'm looking for what others say about a movie instead of going to see it for myself and forming my own conclusion, there's a problem.

Without spoiling anything, what are your thoughts on Batman's brief appearances?

Batman's appearance during the chase scene we've all been anticipating... slightly disappointed.

His other appearances... great. The movie makes it clear that Deadshot and Batman have a history.

Deadshot, Waller and Harley were great. I'm surprised that so many people are saying Margot steals the show, though. She was pretty much on equal footing with the rest of the leads, IMO.

I think after my first viewing I would rate it... 7.3/10

Solid.

You gave BvS TC a 5 and the UE a 7.8 right?

So its a solid flick. Not bad.

I'm just saying everyone knew Rick Flag was a meh character in general. So I don't see the big deal.

I think they should have scrapped him from the script. However, I keep seeing way too many people piling on.

How was Deadshot, Waller and Harley? What do you rate the film?
I think the deal was Hardy being attached. Because of that I think people saw the role a bit differently, got more interested in it. Also Hardy acting usually adds something, even to a flat character. Probably why they wanted him in the first place.

So much film leaked of them doing that chase scene. Only for them to cut it down so much. smh

Ok.....I'm here, the infractions for the uncivil posting that I have repeatedly told people to stop doing will now ensue.

Definitely a solid movie with some narrative and pacing issues. Plenty of cool moments to look forward to and some pleasant surprises.

How many times does Batman show up?

Nice. Thanks.

Seeing a lot of people tweet how their theaters are packed.

Because they are! It's preview night. Basically everything is sold out in advance. Let's see how packed they are next weekend haha.

flag's the heart and soul of the squad in ostrander's run, i'm glad they didn't cut him, but without having the advantage of x-issues to build his character up, i can see how he might come across as a bit of a bore on the silver screen, as he's the quintessential straight man.
I was just about to say, I'd be disappointed with the film if Flag was given the short stick as he's an important character in Ostrander's run. His conflict with Waller, his relationship with Floyd and Ben, loyalty to country but leading a group of criminals, seems like the complex character stuff Ayer would dig. But in a two hour film, I can understand they wouldn't focus on a guy with no powers and rather the guys who hate Batman and have more powers.

to be expected. No one doubted this thing was going to do big bucks OW. Gitesh thinks it will set a new August record. The $64k question is whether the audience reaction is better than the critics'. So far things sound encouraging.

I'm still super excited to try and catch this over the weekend. But once again in the back of my head like with BvS I wonder if we will get an extended cut for home release. I mean before the theatrical release of BvS we knew we were getting an extended cut. I'm thinking in the coming weeks after this film has been out for a bit we will hear something.

I'd love it if Deadshot showed up in the Batman film.

All of those aspects you mentioned are explored in the film.

Flag had planty of screen time and with Harley and Deadshot I think he is sort of the third lead. All the things you metion - His conflict with Waller, his relationship with Floyd and loyalty to country but leading a group of criminals are present. He is sort of a straight man in the group but I like him a lot.

I thought that it was a Booster Gold solo. I think they're better off doing a Blue Beetle solo because the amount of fans for Ted and Jaime is split down the middle.
Split is an understatement. Although I think its calmed down quite a bit now since Jaime seems to have a bigger fanbase than Ted thanks to all his appearances outside comics.

Technically, three times, but really twice. I think you can kind of guess what those two scenes entail.
I can guess the Joker scene, but I am having trouble with the other. Do we get Batman the "legend" here, even when he isn't around? Like how you mention with Deadshot, their relationship is made know. I always liked that theory here that he was responsible for the bulk being locked up.

Cool. Really sounds like Flag is accurate to the comments. I guess the complaints from those early screenings about people feeling meh on Flag were probably because he is the straight man among characters like Boomerang and Harley Quinn.

This isn't super spoilery but I'll black it out anyway just to make sure

[blackout]Batman is responsible for putting away Deadshot and it's shown in a scene that's pretty touching[/blackout]

I am looking forward to El Diablo the most. It's not everyday I get to see a Latino superher(err villain?) on the big screen and he seems cool. I've heard a lot of good things about him!!

Excellent! Good to see Ayer not forget those things, even with all of the crap and pressure he endured.

i recall during the production he was tweeting pics of ostrander's run, that really made me hopeful for the film, so i'm equally glad to hear he stayed faithful to the spirit of the squad.
