maybe a month after release? to give the movie some time to earn as TC before they announce 'we done goofed up and released the wrong version' UC is coming?

The movie was a very loose adaption of the Nightshade Odyssey story arc from the comics. I wouldn't mind if they tried to adapt another comic like the first two issues and the Jihad are the villains.

I don't remember the specifics, but I think it was between 6 months to a year after the theatrical version was released before they put out the director's cut. Also...the director's cut for Affleck's DAREDEVIL (30 minutes of extra footage that changed the perception of the movie) came out over a year after the theatrical version was released.

Well, there you go. An extended cut of Suicide Squad HAS to come out so we don't break the streak of Affleck superhero movies that receive alternate editions.

I really loved this Joker, and I can´t belive he´s so little in here!! I understand they had to cut his abusive scenes, but I need to see it!! Joker is one of my favorite characters ever, loved the music and overall atmosphere around him, but we have to see it all! Do you guys think we'll see an extended cut? Or at least the scenes??

Right now if Affleck tells the WB executives to jump, they'd ask how high. He has a lot of power at WB now and I seriously doubt they'd even consider edit his Batman movie even if they don't like it.

Suicide Squad makes 134 million this weekend

SUN numbers are in & #SuicideSquad finished opening wknd just a hair below estimated w/ $134M. SUN dropped 22%. #1 AUG debut ever.

While I think the chances are slim....there has been second versions of movies, with large amounts of previously unused footage added back in) released after the theatrical run is over. So there is always the possibility of this happening with SS. We just recently saw a new expanded version of BvS released with 30 minutes of new material. Peter Jackson did the same with the 6 movies comprising the HOBBIT and the LORD OF THE RINGS as well as his version of KING KONG. There has also been SUPERMAN II: the Donner Cut and an extended version of David Lynch's DUNE (although he had his name removed from it because he did not approve them doing it).

The first two HP movies got extended cuts, as well.

I don't really understand why we don't have any domestic box office numbers at Mojo yet.

All I know is I want this movie to make $1.00 more than BvS did. DC fans need and deserve something good to come out of this mess (that I believe is going to become
one of my guilty pleasures to re-watch.)

Which - a very possible reason that a SS cut hasn't been announced- I am willing to bet that hurt the movie's Box Office. Announcing another cut of the movie before you even released it? My thought was "well, I may as well wait."
