well, it has the HP audience but it's gonna get scrutinized as hell, especially after the HP & Cursed Child fiasco.

It's a good thing that Fantastic Beasts and Cursed Child don't share the same writers.

Anyone heard of this song Serial Killer by Lana Del Rey ? Its sooo good but I recommend going on youtube cause there's a well cut fan made video where they changed the pitch of the song to fit so awesomely to the SS video...and all I can think of is, this song is so fitting for Harley Quinn and her Joker ;)
I knew that song. :D
Now you say it, it's indeed feel Harley Quinn-ish in character.
Thank you for the recommendation.

I'm really happy that even after SS critical bash, its characters, mainly Harley Quinn is still so insanely popular and appeal to the masses.

The idea about Joker-Harley movie is interesting, IMO. Both actors can carry their way through it, characters recognition is sky high, could established their part in the DCEU, their relationship isn't one-note and unique. If it handled right, of course.

Here is the video...

Im still seeing SS today. Looking forward to at least having an enjoyable time.

LOVE the idea of it being called "The Mad Love Cut"
you belong in the marketing dept.

Thanks, haha. Trying to work my way there, but by the time I do, WB and DC will probably have everything all perfectly figured out haha. :whatever:

It's simple really. Produce what the people want to see. Everybody knows and wants to see the Joker, Harley and Batman.

Yet those are the 3 characters they cut most. Ah well. This is like X-Men 3 all over again. The definition of wasted potential within the comic book movie world.

Lana has several that would fit their story, I made many gifsets using her lyrics like this here - http://littlesati.tumblr.com/post/148156823943/life-is-a-velvet-crowbar-hitting-you-over-the-head

You know that stuff Ayer said about the Flash cameo always being part of the plan?

Yeah, that's ********. Think about it. The opening montage was never meant to be in the film. Boomerang's introduction was supposed to be when he arrives in the bag.

i mean, say what you will, but SS in what, 10 minutes of screen-time, produced a more fascinating and enticing "love" story then marvel did in any of their movies or fox did with x men (all their attempts to make jean/scott or jean/logan work have been subpar so far).

X3 was terrible. It was a nightmare fiasco.

And I agree with the middle paragraph.

I wonder if a Birds of Prey will ever see the light of day...

I know its too early but who do you all want as Poison Ivy and Cat-woman? Who else could be in it besides Harley?

The bag said Australian post on it and yet Waller said that he came to America when the Flash got him. Maybe the Flash deported him back to Australia.:o

It's so sloppy it's hilarious.

Jai didn't even know what was happening in that scene or that he The Flash was going to be in it lol.

Well, good on Ayer for at least trying to play the game. I mean that sincerely. I don't want another Josh Trank scenario where a film maker wastes his potential by burning bridges.

I really likes Margot as Harley. She waa so charming but did anyone elae get slightly annoyed at the faux New York/Brooklyn accent she going for?

Oh man, WB just can not keep it SIMPLE! I really hope Wonder Woman isn't screwed up because of this. It looks deliciously focused and intimate, with cool action... and I hope it really pulls through.

I think everyone, not just comic fans... but everyone is dying to see a cast of superhero/super villain women on the big screen. Batgirl, Huntress, Catwoman, Harley, Ivy, it's a god damn gold mine, and they really should have started with Mad Love. Harley would have been the Iron Man to their female bad-guy "avengers".

WB really do not understand what they have here. Done with care a Birds of Prey, or "Gotham City Sirens" would make a clean billion. Easily. Hell start with a Batgirl movie. That would be able to stand on it's own, especially with flashback appearances from J.K Simmons' Gordon, Batman and Robin, just more fleshed out this time. Her arc from Batgirl to Oracle. Easy money and easy Bird's of Prey setup.

It's far too early to tell, but I do hope that they at least go through with the Harley Quinn stand alone film. I figure WB will do their usual and push everything they can into it, so it will likely warp into something similar to what I said above. Buuuuuuut likely done wrong lol.

I honestly think it would have been hilarious to see that Flash really did take Boomerang and run all the way to Australia with him and dump him in a prison over there.

It's a double-edged sword. I appreciate his loyalty and I want him to be successful. On the other hand, I don't appreciate being blatantly lied to.

LOL, I totally missed that. Good Lord, this ****ing movie...

Also, Snyder directed that Flash scene. It's amazing that WB saw so livid after BvS was received poorly and underperformed that they decided to meddle with Suicide Squad. Yet, despite that, WB also thought it would be a good idea to bring Snyder in an direct a scene in this film. I know it's one tiny scene but it's also kind of a WTF? thing to do.

I get that.
But the man's gotta eat. He's gotta work.
Besides usually the cost of a movie isn't that much. IF he was selling me a damn car I'd be pissed.

Yeah, but if he does what Trank did, it could be career suicide (no pun intended). Now, he has a lot more street cred than Trank, but it never looks good to publicly trash your film while it's out being marketed. And if he just avoided questions altogether, that would look just as bad.

I understand that part of it. Snyder and Ezra were filming together when they decided to put the scene in. It wouldn't make sense to fly Ayer to London to shoot a 10 second scene.

I actually think the Queen of Disaster song/Harley and Joker vid fits better.

Yeah I completely get that. But I'm not going to fault him too much, he was dealt a crappy hand and is doing his best with it.
