Please no more graphics. That thing is probably keeping me away from another viewing of the film. They are garish and unbearable. I'd probably be able to live with the dossier opening as well if it weren't for those graphics.

More linear storytelling would've helped those pacing things a bit more for sure probably.

Deadshot's intro totally makes it worth it imo.

I think the theatrical cut's way of introducing the character's was the right way to go...we just needed more of it. There wasn't enough June Moone backstory. We could've easily used an additional 5 minutes of Harley/ Joker stuff, and Lawton's backstory too.

I guess the challenge is giving the character's backstories the appropriate amount of fleshed out screentime without slowing down the pacing and main story momentum.

i liked the graphics it gave the film personality not gonna be for everyone but i dug the hell out of it

The dossier opening is good in theory and there's nothing wrong with the idea, it's just that they cut an already existing movie up to make it happen. They should have stuck with the idea instead of coming back to it retroactively.

yeah, i didn't mind the graphics - they gave it a distinct personality, but the movie needed more content, substance

Geez these websites are sure mad at Suicide Squad :funny: everyday there's a new article complaining about something

Long time lurker, like five years. I get mass entertainment from reading post and arguements.
First post so here we go. First off I am definetaly a DC fanboy as you can tell by the name love batman and joker the most. However enjoy most marvel movies but they are really my introduction to that word. But this movie is the first to make me want to post. Also I feel like I have to say I liked bvs (that's like a criteria for posting around here)but as for suicide squad I loved it and was super dissapointed by it at the same time. Like some scenes were just ****ing perfect and Harley Quinn was ripped right from the animated series...soo good Margot did for that role what Heath did for joker. Will smith made me care about dead shot a lot more than any other incarceration. Joker was....can't even make a judgement off that little of screen time and am very mad they didn't give us more. I NEED IT NOW! The music was amazing house of the rising sun playing when introducing belle reeve was perfection. Considering it is in Louisiana couldn't find a better song. Same goes for wallers intro perfect song choice. Things that I have seen others question? Like why in the hell was Harley on the team that was meant to be a counter measure to the next superman. Easy, Waller explained it she is as crazy as joker and more fearless. She help kill robin. She is a legitimate rival to the bat, idk of anyone remembers batman whooped superman by himself. YOU gotta have Harley. Well that's my long post hope to have some good arguements in the future. P.s this movie made me like bvs less because of how fun it is and that's coming from someone who loves DC dark tone. Knock em all you want but marvel has a good formula

You're a Lurker, I'm a Long Time Poster. When the flamewar starts you'll cut 'n run.

What else is the internet for then for people to complain about things. I get the impression, that for certain people, if they didn't have something to complain about they wouldn't know what to do with themselves :funny:

Yeah, the visual effects were fine in my book with exception to the unsightly depiction of Incubus and Enchantress (in her second form).

After letting the film sit with me for a few days, I kinda really wanna see it again. I liked it alot after my first viewing but I didn't necessarily have that "wow! I wanna see it again!" feeling. But letting everything marinate, I'm actually really craving it now. Anyone else feeling that way?

Same here. I saw it yesterday morning and until today I didn't feel the urge to see it again. There are some great parts in the movie that I need to see on repeat.

Kinda hard to be a DC fan nowadays. Imagine constantly hearing about how your home team is garbage. :(

Awww ****... I smell new memes.

Is Suicide Squad as meme-worthy as TDKT?

I'm going to watch it again to see for myself.

Not even. It's hearing that your home team is garbage after they made it to the play offs. 10 years ago the DC/Marvel rivalry wouldn't be as bad. I blame the internet.

HAHA, Lord, I can't even...

Oh man the posts and remarks here are laughable but oh lord....

I don't know what else to say. Except my brain hurts from all the bs we're just now finding out.

I think Suicide Squad will produce a lot of cool "meme's and gifs"

Deadshot pointing his finger and gun at Rick Flag.

El Diablo's "Bye" will be an instant classic.

Joker will have a cool "IN" GIF.

It's kinda funny. Especially the photo used for David Ayer and his reaction is priceless.

Ok, that's just hilarious.. very clever, usually don't like memes but that's good work (and I actually like Snyder and Ayer, & all 3 DCEU movies, to some degree).

I like all 3 movies as well. Sucks that I'm in the minority on that. However, you gotta just laugh at certain things.

I feel a stronger antagonist/villain, someone well-versed in the art of cunning would have really made the difference here. He could have been portrayed as an elusive (seemingly human) thorn in Amanda Waller's side. Then could come the revelation that they were dealing with a metahuman from the very start, which would explain why he was able to elude Waller's team for so long. That's precisely when Taskforce X would enter the fray.

Just reminded me that we didn't get the Waller line "Every since Superman...they decided to creep out from the shadows."

Enchantress being on the team and the twist being that she was the one who created Incubus would have been cool imo.

Revealed that far too soon.
