Would you guys be opposed to changing the title of the sequel to "Task Force X?"
Just got back from seeing it. I liked it. I was really entertained. When I walked out of BVS, it was virtually nothing like what I was hoping it would be, even after the onslaught of poor reviews, but this pretty much hit the mark for me. The villain was basically s***, yes, but lets not act like that's a remotely unique situation for a CBM in this day and age. Besides, all the worthwhile villains in this film (with one exception) were the heroes.
I was entertained. IDGAF about the hyperbole.
I need to watch this.
I am quite surprised by this. I'm glad you liked it, though. So it's two out of three for you as well, with the difference being that I liked BvS and found SS to be crappy and it's vice versa for you.
You thought Suicide Squad was crappy?
Dude I don't even know you anymore.

Me too Wolf. Me too.![]()
I assume that plot would still be very weak, but at least we'd get an actual "Dirty Dozen"-like film, with villains that appear closer to the bunch of criminals than high school friends going on an excursion.

For movie vs tv show I prefer the movie versions for Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and Amanda Waller. Katana in Arrow season 3 had more focus on her husband and we don't get to know Katana very well in the movie so for her I'm in the middle.![]()
On tour promoting his latest film, "Edge of Winter," Kinnaman had no delusions that "Suicide Squad" was anything more than what they set out to make -- a summer tent pole movie. "There's no big political aspirations about the film; it doesn't take itself that seriously. The only way it takes itself seriously is portraying these characters in an honest way. I really think we did that, and I'm proud of my work and everyone else's work in that film, too."
For Kinnaman, though, all those bad reviews had a silver lining, as the actor believes the reviews lowered fan expectations/ "Now people don't have too-high expectations for it…people went into the theaters and just got entertained by what they saw. So I was really happy with how that whole thing turned out."
Hernandez remains hopeful that he could return should a sequel to Suicide Squad get made. “Of course there is [a chance he could return]! I’m not saying anything, just that it’s a possibility.”

Probably get bashed for this but I actually prefer the TV shows version of Deadshot. Not that Will was bad, he was OK, but he felt more like a hero who "says" he's a bad guy, rather than actually being a bad guy. The TV version was an a-hole with some small redeeming qualities, just my preference, I like the TV characterization better. Will's definitely the better actor, but I liked the TV versions personality better. "We are bad guys afterall", Will should have played a hero character.
Katana was definitely better in Arrow, even the costume is better which was surprising, the movie versions mask is better but that's it, the design of Arrow's is better overall IMO. Karen is the more believable actress, looks far more intimidating but she has barely anything to do in the movie.
The rest are much, much better in the movie. Boomerang in Arrow is 100% forgettable, while Jai wasn't given a huge role I thought he was really good.
