Well, disappointing to hear that the extended cut doesn't improve the film much, this film needed a director's cut, not a longer version of the butchered film WB released.
It's definitely not the original version we all have wished to see -- the one that reflects everything from the novelization.
However, the Extended Cut is still an improvement over the theatrical version, albeit minimally. I really liked the additional Joker bits and some of the other character beats that were reinserted into the film. The films definitely flows a bit better and more naturally (less choppy and frenetic), certain elements are more fleshed out, and the team dynamic plays better as a result. It definitely feels LESS butchered in the editing room, to a certain extent, but all of the most egregious edits are still there -- namely, the purple graphics that service no purpose, the watered down nightclub scene, and the horribly re-shot helicopter scene, among others.
