Haha I wouldn't go that far. As off-kilter as the performance was, he at least didn't have any lines anywhere near as cringeworthy as what Arnold had to work with.

"What killed the dinosaurs? DEEE ICCCEEEE AAAAGGGE!"

Barf.

This is worse. Especially with that obnoxious music playing during the scene.

Photo isn't showing. At least not for me.

That's funny because Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor was so cartoony he felt like he belonged in the Joel Schumacher batman universe. It says a lot when he's even more annoying than Ahnuld as Mr. Freeze.

Disagree with you on that one. Eisenlex is one of the things that took time to grow on me, but it grew nonetheless. Something about it feels familiar.

just watched the extended blu ray. Love it. It does add a lot to the film. If you haven't seen it check it out.

Like what? I thought nearly all the added bits were superfluous.

I honestly thought the same, some of them were slightly nice character moments, but they didn't change or make the movie even better, especially in comparison with say Batman v Superman Ultimate Cut(that was obious with the trailers for SS Extended Cut, but some of those scenes are good as hype moments by itself but altogether, it leaves a lot to be desired imo).

As much I dislike Suicide Squad, "Heathens" is a pretty cool song. It played on the radio when I was driving home last night, it's baller.

Yeah the song is great. I was hooked to it even before the movie was released.

*What I dislike:

  1. The Joker: For years I thought he was an overrated psycho, sure he could be enjoyable, and great depending on how he's written. Here they made him unbearable. The weakest part of this movie.
  2. Amanda Waller shooting the FBI group working under her supervision: If they are unauthorized, why are they working under you? In the same monitor room? And why did you kill them?
  3. Deadshot not shooting Harley Quinn: He has no deep emotion toward her, or any feeling for her. Putting him in that situation so he'd hesitate is wonky.
  4. Enchantress and brother killing people: They did that because.... they worship machine instead of them. MMMM... k'.
  5. Batman catching Deadshot scene: It feels clumsy, Bruce needed to wait a little.
  6. Captain Boomerang needed more personality: He's just a goofball, nothing more to him than being a goofball.

Beside those, I think the movie is underrated.

Waller shooting those people got a WTF reaction from me. The cool thing about Waller is that she kind of teeters on that evil line.

I've said time and time again it was a clumsy move to make this a "save the world" endeavor. Deadpool perfectly proved you don't have to go that big to make the film enjoyable, and it's a nice change of pace when the story is more contained. SS would've benefitted from making its scope smaller, which would've fixed about half the things you listed.

Agreed, and that is saying something. I thought he looked good in the trailers and got my hopes up, but was ultimately let down.

Agreed. How exactly is Boomerang going to stop a Superman type figure? He can't. They should have sold it as "We have all these metahumans running around now, let's make them work for us" instead of "using them to stop Superman".

This movie tried too hard to make them likeable and a "family" like Guardians of the Galaxy, but these people are not a family.

By that logic, Boomerang shouldn't even be a Flash villain. Flash is overpowered.

That's the best way to do it. It's hard to sell him as a major villain of a guy who has the capabilities the Flash has. He was really the only one that had no business being apart of the team, tbh.

That's why CW used him as a foil for Arrow.

They use Captain Cold as a villain for Flash though. Boomerang and Cold can be villains for Flash, just like in the comics. In the comics (and on the show too regarding Cold), it is their intelligence, amongst other things, that make them a threat. That has probably played a part in them being amongst his more popular villains.

For Captain Cold at least they explained the gun as a contingency plan for in case Barry gone rogue, and he's a major player in the rogues gallery, more important than Eobard Thawne as Thawne mostly antagonized Barry, while Snart antagonized both Barry and Wally.

Harkness has lots of boomerang weapon though, that were used in different ways. They could definitely make him a threat if they wanted to, and they do not necessarily have to be Digger throwing them himself. He also had different types of Boomerangs with different effects, that caused trouble for the Flash. I agree that Cold is more important villain than Harkness though, which is probably part of why they put in the effort to make him a threat, but they could still make him a threat if they were willing to put in the effort.
