There's a large gap between saccharine Guardians BFFs and having some alliances formed. I think we'll see alliances, separations, and maybe some vendettas.

^ Not entirely sure what that means. You don't want the characters to have any alliances whatsoever?

Mostly a joke, but basically what I meant by that was I don't want to see them having heartfelt bonding moments or becoming a family. Sentimentality. Them bonding over their selection/tastes in weapons or causing chaos or killing people etc., is cool with me. Not telling each other stories about family members dying that makes them emotionally connected, or romance, or humorous friendly bonding moments like that.

I guess I shouldn't have said that every single one of hate each other and no one gets along at all. I wouldn't mind seeing Croc throw a car at someone and have Boomerang say something like "Hell yeah", stuff like that. But no mushy friendship moments that are sentimental.

I will amend my statement some, because while I did mean what I said, I didn't mean it to be firmly literal. Joker and Harley have a history together, the Squad is most likely to be strangers to each other. Joker/Harley are a classic duo, of course I want to see them together. Harley's whole creation is based around The Joker. They're a great and exciting compliment to each other. I did say earlier that outside of their traditional sidekicks/henchmen I'd rather they be mostly untrusting of each other and unlikely to become friends. Harley is the Joker's sidekick, that's the dynamic duo of crime. And while I want them to work together, I don't really want to see romance between them, mostly just Harley wishing for more and Joker just seeing her as someone to blow s*** up with.

Basically I meant more along the lines of mushy bonding moments, heartfelt bonding. They're still villains that can form a working bond, maybe even a common interest of villainy but at a moments notice they are willing to stab each other in the back, no matter how well they might get along. I just don't want to see these characters letting their guard down and pouring their hearts out to one another. And at the end, mostly just being thankful they didn't die and glad to be rid of each other.

I'm inclined for something of a mix by the end of it: we had genuine friendships formed, but by the end they're either severed by death or compromised and rough.

For instance, the promo photo shows Croc leaning on Diablo's shoulder in what looks like a friendly way. I'd like it if Croc and Diablo end up with a genuine, if perhaps blatantly self-focused, friendship. Then Diablo dies, and a pissed off Croc then leaves the Squad with an extra bit of tragic bitterness.

I like the idea of Harley perhaps flirting with Deadshot and maybe the starting blocks of a relationship forming, then it gets torched when Joker does his thing. And maybe Deadshot has a strange brotherly connection to Flagg, but the events of the film shake it, and yet in spite of that, they still trust each other enough to have the closest thing to a friendship left on the team.

And part of the reason I want these types of relationships is to act as a foil to Boomerang and everybody else. I want everyone to despise him, mock him, belittle him, and hate him on a deeply personal level. And then I want him to be one of the few members still around at the end.

:up: agree!! this is a group of villains..Dangerous sociopaths and lunatics! i dont want mushy stuff!i want "I just saved your ass so we can complete the mission and that's that!"i aslso agree that you can have a little playful banter and stuff but lets remember this is the "SUICIDE" squad!i want killing and heads exploding trying to escape, limbs falling off! panic in the street... dogs and cats sleeping with each other...new testament stuff!( sorry! i saw a ghost buster moment there and just had to!:cwink:) but really while most of the Guardians werent really BAD DUDES!... they were straddling the line between bad and good! these guys are straight up VILLAINS as they should be... Deadshot should be
" if our paths crossever again i am going to make you EAT those Boomerangs!! just all out nastiness!!!

oh and more Harley in booty shorts!!... well just because its harley!!.... hehe
