Suicide Squad's positivity thread

I trust Schmoes and Jeremy Jahns.. don't care about the others..

Kristian said one of them liked it the other didn't. Not exactly Schmoes but Dennis Tzeng liked it although he was a bit mixed and Schnepp liked it too.

Stuckmann did not gave worse score than BvS lol.

I am seeing it tomorrow and to be honest I'm not so bothered this time around by the critical reception, BvS was way more of a shock for me.

And I do think this will end up being another BvS type scenario where after people actually see it they may think "Hey I actually kinda liked it/wasn't as bad as I read" or whatever. At the very least it promises to be a much more "digestible" and straight forward fun CBM then BvS so I think it should do alright with general audiences.

That's the spirit! And welcome to the Hype :)

Thanks, I'm a long time lurker but thought it was finally time to come out of the shadows. :P

Seeing it here in Australia in 12 hours looking forward to it. I'm a big fan of Killer Croc and El Diablo so to see these guys on the big screen for the first time I'm really excited.

Grace didn't like it. Her complaints were interesting. Made me wonder if Ayer was doing something different by giving the movie more a CB page feel through editing. I'm even more curious to see what's going on :mag

Anyone watching the European premiere live ? Zack just turned up. Glad to see people showing him some love and support.

Really everyone there was very sweet. I watch a lot of premieres and award shows and this seems like a very nice group of people, as are the fans here.

We all deserve nice things.

Some Schnepp (and Campea) positivity! :woot:

https://youtu.be/hv6fmZ5C6mY?t=5m10s

Schnepp didn't like/somewhat hated BvS TC, he really liked BvS UE and now he really really liked a lot/nearly loved SS, so good news everyone. :woot:

Just watch Schnepp in the video above you. That's basically how I feel about it.

I'm sure glad this thread is on here too!

It is desperate, though, how there HAS to be such a thread for the movie...

Perhaps, but it let's me enjoy the section way more by going to this thread the most. Whatever though and that's just me!

Bloody hell I enjoyed that film, way more than I was expecting.

Had a blast guys, favourite DCEU movie so far.

The first 30-40 minutes is kinda a chaotic mess, the music video style character intros, cameos etc. but after I got passed that I really started to have fun and found myself actually caring about these characters.

Think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised when they see this.

Going to the cinema on Saturday to see this as my anticipation has not been dented one iota. In fact, the only dismay I feel at the moment is borne from seeing 'fans' being so readily and easily discouraged from wanting to see it.

The herd mentality has increased, and has made writing on these boards a lot less fun. I wish people would make up their own mind, instead of going into theaters thinking about how the movie got a low RT score, and subconsciously comparing it to the reviews they've read.

I see a lot of this going on:

"I will keep an open mind until I see it myself"
*spends hours on this board talking crap about the movie based on others' opinions*

Yeah ... "open mind". If I told myself over and over again that a movie is gonna suck for days/weeks and then look for every single error while watching it, guess what - there's a very high chance that it ends up being bad like I told myself beforehand.

With that said, the hype is still real for me! Though I gotta admit that the wait is killing me.

Well, in my case I went up hating the first half of Batman V Superman, and then starting to like it more and more (expect for the CGI overkill in the final fight between Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman and Doomsday). I went in with an open mind, and liked it despite its flaws and the overall consensus online. And I ended up really appreciating the script and story set up thanks to the extended Ultimate Edition, so I like it even more now (again, except for the CGI overkill during the showdown).

So how's that for an open mind?

Oh, you might have misread my comment, I wasn't referring to you at all ... I was referring to the same people you mentioned. :)

I'm talking about all the people who say that they're keeping an "open mind" while talking smack about a movie they have not seen. Which is pretty idiotic imo.

I'm glad that you watched BvS without trying to hate it beforehand, that kind of common sense is becoming rare these days it seems.
