Not necessarily. Stuntmen in a fight scene often perform their stunts opposite the real actor for the other character when they're getting that actor's coverage.

Oh I see, well I realised from the article that previous theory was wrong. Still if have been happy with a Roger and John Corben thing.

I will say that stunt double wasn't much of a "double," lol. Had zero resemblance to the guy pictured in that article as far as I could tell.

OOOOR, there is some CGI involved....

With his hair? :oldrazz:

I realize it's entirely possible the actor has dyed his hair since that headshot was taken.

So so far, Tyler Hoechlin cast as Superman (an actor I like), he looks great in the and as Ckark Kent, the suit itself looks pretty awesome, the S is the best I've ever seen, he wears some sort of shield device at one point which is cool, he fights fracking Mettallo (whose one of my favourite Superman villains of all-time), etc. Guys and Gals I'm finding it way to hard to keep my expectations in check.

With our luck and record, it's probably safer to keep our expectations in check :o:oldrazz:

It would be nice if we could find out on how many more episodes we can expect to see Superman guest star in.

Though to be honest, it's a big bummer that he won't be joining his cousin for the mega-crossover. Talk about a wasted opportunity.

The crossover will be epic without him.

Perhaps; but it still doesn't make it any less bittersweet for me. I mean, when else will the show have the chance to actually take advantage of the fact that they could have Superman sharing scenes with the likes of the Flash and Green Arrow on Television?

It's not like this'll be the last crossover Supergirl ever does with the other shows, there will be more opportunities for them to have Supes crossover, if Tyler is well received I imagine it'll only be a matter of time before he shows up alongside Barry.

Youre probably right, best not to get to hyped up as I could wind up disapointed. But right now I just can't see that happening :woot:

I'd love it if Superman were in the episode of Supergirl that leads to the crossover, at least that way he might have something to do with trying to get her back.

I'm thinking maybe a scene like this from Superman the Animated Series episide 'Brave New Metropolis when she returns:

Of course it depends on how it all happens but that would be really cool

You're just making me want to rewatch STAS. Actually, come to think of it, that sounds like the perfect way to pass the time before this season starts...

If I was off work today I'd be rewatching it right now :woot:

Superman the Animated Series is my my all time favourite version of Superman and his world. If the Superman were getting on Supergirl is that version (or close to) he's gonna be my favourite live action Superman. There's just no two ways about it lol but we'll see how that plays out and if it feels like that.

True, but one can never foretell on how long a show will remain on the air. I mean, if one of these shows does very bad ratings wise, then they could end up being cancelled by the end of it all.

Plus, even if they were all safe from that, we'd still have to wait for another year before we could see a mega crossover involving every DC-TV show.

I just hope that Tyler is present for the Supergirl portion of the crossover. Unless he ends up being very bad on screen, I don't see why they can't just have him pop up in the Supergirl Crossover part for his third episode.

One can only ask for something like that.

My favorite version remains in the comics, but STAS is certainly my favorite screen version we've gotten. So I too was encouraged by them citing it as an inspiration for this Supes.

For years it was the Byrne Superman for me but I thought STAS took the Byrne Superman as perfected it. For me the best version of Krypton is still the animated series and thankfully Supergirl's has been somewhat similar to that crossed with the Byrne stuff.

I was massively encouraged by them saying that, let's just hope they do it justice and take the best elements.

Have they explicitly said he won't show up at all during the crossover? As for cancellation, I imagine Supergirl will be just fine, CW is a relatively easy network for shows to survive on, the show fits right in with the demographic the network has been going for the last few years, and it'll probably bring over some viewers from CBS as well.

^ Not explicitly, no; however, as of now the only episodes he's confirmed to appear in are The Adventures of Supergirl and Episode 2x02.

We do know that Kara will be the only character crossing dimensions, which means that even if Clark did appear in the Supergirl portion of the crossover, he wouldn't be following her to Earth-1, which is what some people want to see happen.

They haven't in fairness, plus he was at the crossover dinner, not that that means anything but it could.

I honestly would just be happy were he in the Supergirl episode leading into it and maybe made a cameo at the end as I had suggested above a few posts.

Not to be "that guy", but Mehcad was using the word "crossover" rather generically in his tweet, as the actual reason behind the dinner had nothing whatsoever to do with narrative crossover and was to celebrate the 50th episode of The Flash. The only reason it was a "crossover" is because the guest list was comprised of people from all four of the 'Berlanti-Verse' DC series.

if Superman proves to be a hit, I wouldn't mind getting a Superman spin off show.

they could alternate between the Supergirl and Superman shows at different times of the year.

so far, this Superman is sounding very much like the live action Superman I've been wanting to see on screen.
