I still have the previous two to watch (although I'm waiting for How Does She Do It to air (UK) first as I want to watch episodes 4 & 5 in order) but I decided to watch the promo first. Red Tornado looks so much better in motion but I thought he would. Looking forward to this one.

Supergirl working for the DEO is grayish enough as it is, but at least that was her choice and it's some kind of pseudo-partnership. The idea that the American government can legally strong arm her into their service is just too much. Even Superman got to be an old man before he started being a government stooge.

I hope Red Tornado's body is destroyed so they can rebuild it so it doesn't look like garbage.

He was a government stooge in Frank Millers Dark Knight Returns and that world. Not any others, so no he wasn't an old man when he was as stooge cause he was never a stooge outside of a few non canon stories.

So, is this episode getting heavy promotion?
I haven't watched CBS all week.

I don't know, I actually haven't watched much TV this week except for football, and that has been mostly on ESPN and the SEC channel. HOWEVER, Melissa was on Kelly and Michael earlier this week which was GREAT ADVERTISEMENT, and a good interview.

And speaking of which, Kelly (not named Ripa :woot::woot::woot::woot:)

Here is said interview with our Little Miss Funshine.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Kelly & Michael have guests walk out to music. No surprise Melissa came out with her infectious enthusiasm to "Fight Song."

One part of the chat was about a love triangle...on Glee that is.

Also, get the idea that Kelly Ripa might be a fan of the show?

Thanks for that , She really is the reason that I love this show so much .
Perfect casting.

I imagine that president line will get a few comments...

The CGI eyes are not helping the costume and makeup look any better.

Yes indeed! PROPAGANDA FOR HILLARY CLINTON FOR POTUS! AND VERY MUCH WHAT I FEARED!

Watching Red Tornado is just really embarrassing. Worse costume probably ever in a superhero show.

I'm sorry, but that has to be the dumbest thing ever "It's your fault my robot is malfunctioning!" "you told me to fight it" "yeah...well, it's still your fault for winning!"

Everyone said to wait until the episode to judge Red Tornado. Well I have, and he still looks like absolute ****.

I was fearing the worse for the Cat/Kara relationship. But now it's seemingly is on solid ground, even if it did involve some booze. Now the tornado effect...COOL! RT...still time for a reconstruction.

And Gen. Lane I still think of him as Thunderbolt Ross 2.0. But, he is a doting father. And you can't go wrong with that.

I like the twist on Kara having parent issues.

Not going to lie. If they make [BLACKOUT]Dean Cain into Cyborg Superman, I'm going to freak out. In excitement.[/BLACKOUT]

I liked the drama with general lane to supergirl and jimmy. And the stuff with kat mom was nice. I enjoyed the fights with RT. But God his costume was still pretty bad looking. I wished they did something better. Something more like atom or cybermen and less padded cosplay suit.

As for the president line. I at first didn't think it was a female press and lane was talking about taking it up with lucy.

Seems like Hank was the alien that took the place of the real Hank. I feel like this is the same as the flash.

Now that I have absorbed that line, I stand corrected...my bad!

Why not both Harewood and Cain??
Than one can be a super evil badass Cyborg Superman and the other can be a super evil badass Cyborg Superman that isn't as evil as the other
?! lol I actually mention that in my review (http://otlnews.net/2015/11/30/supergirl-review-s1-ep-6-red-faced/). Solid episode aside from RT distracting from the great character work.

I admit I was expecting the worse with this episode tonight. It was a typical one character starts mean (Lucy as the JAG Officer) and then has that moment where it changes for her and now she and Supergirl are pals.

General Lane, though a doting father I think is on the same level as Thunderbolt Ross from The Hulk. But the actor playing him...not bad, dad!

Seeing Red Tornado in stills was ugly. Seeing him move eased things a little. But the tornado effects...AWESOME! Kara's anger concerned me. Her final battle with Reddy was incredible. But I was expecting a Hulk roar from her. Pity RT was in essence a villain driven mad when in comics he's a good guy.

I thought Kara would be fired after her outburst to Cat. But, given Cat's mother, I can see where Cat knew she was wrong. Of course drowning one's sorrows in a martini helps. Now I admit I drink some wine on occassion or have a liqour called Sambuca (Anise flavored) in coffee after shoveling snow on a cold winter day

I never knew Perry White to throw a chair out the window. John Hamilton threw papers at Jimmy on The Adventures of Superman TV show. Don't recall Jackie Cooper doing anything like that on the silver screen.

That training scene with Kara punching the car...never saw that coming and given the new Creed film...y'know..."Gonna Fly Now" was perhaps playing in my mind.

The game night thing was awkward in many aspects. I knew that James and Lucy would click.

There was some snappy dialogue here and there, but some cringeworthy feminist stuff from the writers...big demerit.

Max Lord I still am confused about.

Alex and Kara...TV's newest dynamic duo. And I never thought I would see someone in the comics shot to death, no blood thankfully. And Alex's anger with the DEO is close to the red zone, especially after the bombshell Winn dropped.

Glad to know Cat and Kara are on firmer ground. But then...KARA BLEEDS, setting things up for "Only Human" next week.

As soon as I saw Kara bleeding, I could only imagine William Dozier saying...

CAN IT BE?!
KARA DANVERS CUT ON THE HAND?!
HAS SUPERGIRL LOST HER POWERS DUE TO THE FIGHT WITH RED TORNADO?
HAS THE HOPE OF NATIONAL CITY SUDDENLY BECOME HUMAN?
FIND OUT NEXT WEEK WHEN THINGS GET SHAKY IN NATIONAL CITY.
SAME SUPER TIME; SAME SUPER CHANNEL!

I never saw so much emotion packed into one show.

I admit to having an anger problem, fueled by anxiety and b/c I have Autism Spectrum Disorder. I don't process things like the "average" human. And to me that I think makes me weak. Wish I could channel my anger for good.

lol...I always find it interesting that when one speaks of "women" in the forefront, or as powerful, and actually bring out that it is a woman in that powerful position it is automatically construed as "feminist" and the word "feminist" used to cast a negative light on whatever the subject may be.

Not to really get into a "feminist debate" here, because that is always weird to me, considering at my core I feel I am a strong woman, with a good education, and an educator as a career and would probably be described as a "feminist to a degree" and don't seem to mind when men "strut their stuff" so to speak. That just seems to strange to me that those things seem to come out of the dialogue like an annoying trumpet in the ear for some people. I honestly didn't notice anything like that from this episode, except to find it amusing that Cat's mom wondered why she wasn't called "Superwoman" hell I think most people would have that question. Logical "Superman"...."Superwoman"...but I found Cat's reasoning just fine, and only found her mom's questioning of it funny.

I bet when people see this in India, Great Britain, the Philippines, and possibly even Pakistan...the "she as in POTUS" won't even phase them. ;)

I don't think hank's an alien. but yeah he's hiding Alot. we'll have to see what and who he is though.
