I would buy this if the show weren't so consistent, in stuff only causing Kara to bleed if her powers are futzing out. I don't even recall any of the fights with Kryptonians leaving her bleeding. Combine that with Silver Banshee not exactly having any really high end feats beyond fighting Supergirl. . . its not like she's even leveled a building with her screams, where you could make a plausible argument of "the attack is just that powerful, and against a fragile point."

She did however keep herself from going splat after falling off of a building, to the point the strength of her voice stopping her flat in mid air.

TV Guide's listings indicate an encore of "Mr. and Mrs. Mxyzptlk" will air Tuesday, 2/28, at 9 p.m. EST, after a new episode of The Flash.

EDIT 2/19: Drat. It changed to an encore of the "Riverdale" pilot.

Wait, LoT got 17 episodes....soooooo why are they off again. They were off last night, a repeat of the Flash aired in its place, they have a new episode along with Flash next Tuesday, and then they are off again? That does not bode well for ratings, that is what hurt Supergirl last year on CBS.

Love the idea of Mxy revealing his true form at the end. Having a hard time getting excited for this given Mxy's boring appearance

Goofy or not, Mxyptlk has an iconic look. You'd think they would've learned from Smallville's unsuccessful take.

I have faith though, Supergirl has done justice to all the major Superman villains so far

Better a day early than a week late. Most other shows that had a Valentine theme were aired last week. And people seemed to celebrate the weekend before rather than the weekend after if they couldn't celebrate on the day.

Not sure where you guys were, but we found out quite a while ago that the Valentine's episode would be a week later. I think while filming they were still on the schedule of coming back January 16, while the other shows came back the next week, and then about 2 weeks before that they switched to Supergirl returning with everyone else, and it was at that time that we found out this particular episode would be after Valentine's Day.

“I was as surprised by anyone when I did the research and saw how he is usually,” Gadiot tells TVLine ahead of his character’s debut on Monday’s Supergirl (8/7c). “I think they did an interesting take in that they kept the essence of the character true to the origin, but they made him more relatable and updated. They wanted to make it a legitimate possibility that Kara could actually agree to be with him.”

“Mixy’s someone who’s lived for a long time, and he’s probably experienced a lot of loneliness,” the actor explains. “Then Kara comes into his consciousness, and he instantly sees not only her physical beauty, but her unique abilities.”

“I had it pointed out to me that only a few men in history have worn the Superman suit,” Gadiot says. “And then someone else pointed out that I was probably the first person to have worn the Super-Mixy suit, which has an M emblazoned on it. It’s great to be even a small part in this universe.”

This all leads up to a Hamilton-esque duel between Mxyzptlk and Mon-El, which Gadiot says was “really fun” to shoot. Also fun? Getting to slip into Clark Kent’s iconic threads — sort of.
