All I can say about the TC result is,
good!
Although it was a happy occasion, I cannot yet muster the energy to be joyous, still overcome with the supreme disgust at Ben as I am. I'm glad to see the back of him, and
big kudos to Jaison for not backing down from sticking to his principles. I had initially pegged him to be the reserved sort, but when he brings it, boy does he. Would be nice to see him win, or at least a runner-up.
Shambo, I have decided, is awesome. It was uncertain for me from day one, because she reminded me strongly of Sandy (though with less forceful a personality), and as we have seen so little of the Galu tribe, I couldn't really be sure if whether her complaining was for complaining's sake or warranted. Her evident sincerity in wanting to get to know the other tribe helped, too, even if it was well-faked and just for strategic purposes. Certainly convinced me!
Russell H. showed a side tonight that I'd suspected before: he's all talk! Well, not all, really; he did single-handedly drive both Marissa and Betsy out of the game, after all, with whispered lies here and there. Plus, he did find the immunity idol all by himself, without a clue, which still rankles me Anyone going into Survivor
ought to know that there would be hidden immunity idols sprinkled around somewhere; I never got that--or, perhaps, most of who do get picked are either casual or non- viewers and only one or two really follow Survivor zealously. But I digress.
Behind the scenes and on interviews, he may be oh-so-theatrical with his villainous words all he wants, but when people outright call his bluff, he's not so confident anymore. When Mick told Russell to look him in the eye and promise, you could see his hesitation there, and I daresay that Mick did, and Russell knew that Mick knew that he hesitated, and so he promptly showed Mick the immunity idol, which drove all thoughts of potential backstabbers out of his mind, and then they became best chummies again. And when Jaison put Russell on the spot about Ben ever doing anything useful in challenges, he didn't even have an answer on-hand. (I don't blame him; that was a question to which there was only one answer). My point is, R.H. is so full of it that I'm surprised he hasn't burst already from sheer ego.
R.H.'s plans are coming apart, finally. Let's see: all voted for Ben, if I'm not wrong. Next week, you have Jaison, Ashley, and Natalie on the one side, and Mick, R.H., and Elizabeth on the other. Next week (I hope): Elizabeth breaks away from her tentative alliance and form with the other girls (plus Jaison) Girl Power, which R.H. so fears. Then they all vote either for Mick or for R.H., and
then the Hidden Immunity Idol is used, kicking off one of the other side. But Girl Power still has numbers and R.H. no longer has the HID. Of course, that's
assuming that Liz turns. She better. Use that attorney brain of yours and figure out that you're gone as soon as your usefulness (i.e. your vote's necessity) runs out. Gah!
Looking forward to next week. See what drama rolls.
