Where was Shambo when Erik was digging for the HID? Looking for more firewood? Christ.
It seems I'm in the minority regarding Yasmin. Upon her de-torching, I fisted the air in ecstasy. That's how much she annoyed me. Undeniably strong though she was in challenges, Yasmin seemed just the type of person I'd take great pains to avoid in real life, and that impression was based solely on what television provided me. I can only imagine what she must've been like at the camp were I there. The other girls are equally intolerable with their sickening cliqueness, I admit, but I'll take them over Yasmin anyday.
In the end, it was her mouth that shot herself in the foot. I was shaking my head at the whole high-heels ordeal; J.P. does not possess powers to overturn voting results, you silly girl, and no number of high heels will change that. Also, what was all that rubbish she spouted about not doing anything because one little misstep will have them
prey on ye, so therefore, I shall do nothing? What rubbish. Challenge-competent she may very well be, but mere brawns do not a good Survivor make.
That said, Monica was laughable at the immunity challenge. Is she asthmatic? Why the obvious breathing exercises? Why, then, did O Great Leader Russell not choose to sit
her out? Speaking of whom, he needs to wake up to the reality that his leadership position does not at all provide a formidable shield behind which he can hide and dictate who should do what, and stat. His arrogance is fast eclipsing that of the other Russell, and I don't know if I can bear so much of it in a single episode and not explode from sheer rage.
So, Foa Foa finally won immunity. Good! They deserved the break, after so long a losing streak. Funny how so much exposure on the losing team eventually makes the viewers more sympathetic to their plight and, thus, more inclined to cheer them on over the other team. Then again, rooting for the underdogs has been commonplace, for their triumphs are that much sweeter. And less of Russell H. didn't hurt, either. One could only take so much of him in a single episode, let alone several.
Next week's episode looks more interesting. Someone getting all up in Russell's business? Oh, this oughta be good.
No-one gets all up in Russell's business and gets off scot-free; not yet, anyway.
