So the audience are feeling this and i got that vibe when i talked with my mates about it shortly after who aren't star wars fans. Word of mouth will help keep this percentage up. critics will try to bury it.

TASM2 was trash. Straight trash. Easily worst Spider-Man film ever made. Complete disaster on every level

I have to say the Peter/Gwen relationship was great...although she gets killed at the end, meaning we'd invested in nothing...and she was killed by a semi-goblin...and...

THE COSTUME WAS FINE!!!

That's all I got for that one. At least Spider-Man 3 wrapped up what it needed to....

This is so dumb.
How can they be snobs when a majority liked liked both TFA, TLJ, Wonder Woman, Avatar, Shazam, most of the Fast and Furious movies, and then every MCU, Harry Potter movies.

The whole critics are uptight, snobs, or whatever is just blatantly false. This always comes up when people can't deal with criticism of a movie.

Praise or trash a film, they do it in such a snobby way when writing up their reviews. I'm not right nor wrong as its simply my opinion. I can deal with criticism but not by them

It's also the first day. The audience score for TLJ was in the 80s on day one too. I doubt it drops as far as that did, but I also have a gut feeling that score sees a dip

The difference for me is that Rise of Skywalker is not only a much better movie than BVS but it also doesnt insult my intelligence like BVS did. in my personal opinion, of course.

Definitely entitled to your opinion but the first word that came to my mind after seeing this was insulting.

I truly felt it was, from the sheer fact that they don't even attempt to explain pretty important plot points (or holes) at all.

Fans say TLJ disrespected the entire SW universe but this movie essentially makes Anakin's sacrifice null and void, by extension making the OT somewhat pointless. IDK, just wasn't expecting such a blatant "course correction" that I personally didn't think was all that necessary, at least not like this...

And oddly, there is 215k "audience reviews" for TLJ. Frankly, the audience scores are meaningless, even with the new measures.

The audience score is pretty easy to understand; fan service and fun “Wow!” moments are far more important to the average audience member than a coherent story.

If the average audience member demanded decent narrative from their blockbusters Michael Bay would’ve been driven out of the industry and the Fast franchise wouldn’t have gotten past a single sequel.

Because its rotten . Critics have had enough and voting for political reasons. These same people want Kathleen Kennedy out. Average audiences have no idea who she is but she has been the one pulling strings behind this trilogy . For these films to move forward someone needs to be fired and it should be her but won't be.

The film is rotten because it's not very good. It's enjoyable enough, but it's really nothing more than fan servicing, and I dont think I've ever come out of a movie of that nature feeling more uninterested in the main characters.
