DC Films Swamp Thing

Excited as I am for all that’s been announced today, a part of me does want to fast forward straight to the supernatural corner of the DCU coming together.

I would think this is Mangold saying he's doing it. With him wanting to helm a project and now this its probably a done deal.

Really happy for this one, after the mess with the Series, im glad people still see the potential in Swamp Thing.
And man, a horror movie? Hell yeah.

Honestly del toro has so many things he wants to do/on his pile of projects...Doubt it will happen.
After Indiana I think mangold had plans for a chalamet staring bob Dylan film.so he might be less busy

Don't play games with my heart, James!

While I'd love if Del Toro or Wan directed, Mangold would be equally good. Really, anything that can capture the spirit of the comics or the amazing, but short-lived DC Universe series, would be great. This needs a director and writer with a horror touch.

Gunn has retweeted the Mangold Swamp Thing image so...official? Btw can the films announced yesterday get their own threads? I dont know what the requirements are but I think it would invite more discussion

I'm guessing they'll announce the confirmation at this year's SDCC.

Out of the two I'd prefer Del Toro, but Mangold is a great choice nonetheless. If he's not doing this, I'd love for Del Toro to do a Justice League Dark film.
