Hahaha! Yes!!

Right before he starts shooting wildly at whoever's coming he has to say one of his weird ass lines that he gives people in real life. What was that one he was known for saying? Something like "I'll pull your liver out of your endocrine system". What a crazy SOB.

Dude, that's some bat **** crazy Busey there that would be so goddamn awesome. :awesome::woot:

You know who should be the villain of the sequel?

Imagine a guy with John "Hannibal" Smith's skills as a strategist; R'as Al Ghul's prowness in hand-to-hand combat and Bryan Millis' determination and skills in gunfire combat.

Except EVIL.

With The Expendables riding high at the box office and talk of a sequel starting early, people have been wondering why the likes of Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal were not included in the first film. Sylvester Stallone answered that question recently:

"I wanted to set Jean-Claude against Jet Li, but he didn't want to lose to Jet. He didn't think that was cool. But that's why it would be cool; to have Jean-Claude beaten by the other man. Hey, they could have a rematch. But Steven Seagal and Van Damme, they weren't really into our gallows humor."

So Van Damme basically told Sly "No, I don't want to be in ur big budget action film starring various other action stars that could possibly revive my career and make me a household name once again.....I'll stick to straight to dvd films."

I give it a 3

I enjoyed the new latest Rambo movie better than this messing crap.

Why is everyone jumping on Coutore? He barely even had any scenes.

He wasn't great but I thought he did really good for his second movie, I think he mainly just needs to work on his line delivery. I would love to see Arnold back in action. For me to see my favorite actors and hero on the same screen in a full movie, I would probaly start chanting this is awesome:woot:.

I just saw a commercial for tommorrows Attack of the Show(7:00pm) and Eric Roberts is gonna be on there to talk about the Expendables.

Anyone else really get a kick out of all of Jet's moments (Get it, a kick:awesome:)?

His whole "i needa more moneys for mi family" thing was cracking up, then he confesses "i dont have family, its cause im small, i have to work harder".

Perfection.

^ that whole back and forth thing was really confusing.

The more I think about it, the more I think the movie was going to be PG-13 up until recently. It only had a few F bombs, (only in 3 scenes) and no practical violence....

I don't know what I'd rather see more. Kurt Russell on Slys team or Kurt as the villain. I personally think him as a villain would be great, he's got that charm to him, which would make his character better.

Or him playing off of Sly as a teammate would be great too. Just to see Tango and Cash together again.:hrt:

Sorry, just some random thoughts.

Really? I thought MOST of the dialog was actually top notch, and sounded like a bunch of dudes just shooting the ****. The whole "every picks on me cause I'm short" was there, so of course he's not going to admit in front of everyone that he wants more money because he has to work harder cause hes smaller and such. But alone with their leader, he can be up front. His character was basically just saving face with the whole "got a family me daughter needs a better school"

The more I think about it, the more I think the movie was going to be PG-13 up until recently. It only had a few F bombs, (only in 3 scenes) and no practical violence....

No violence? You kidding me?

Well yeah, that's what all the debating and stuff was all about. Stallone wanted R, Avi Lerner wanted PG-13, they screen tested both cuts and the R rating won out. At least with the sequel they'll shoot with an R in mind.

The only way Sam Worthington should be in any of these movies is if he dies. He shows up in the 2nd one & then he dies. Just have Arnold do one loud scream at Sam & then Sam dies. Then bring him back in each Sequel just to have him die again by getting screamed at various characters :awesome:

Not a fan of Sam then...?

So, i'm thinking Michelle Rodriguez OR Milla Jovovich should be in the next one. Both of done plenty of action films and have shown they can do it well.

Li was hilarious :)

Are you kidding me?!! I hope this doesn't happen, with Worthington at least.

No, just no! I can't stand Rodriguez, she only plays the same character just about every time. The ***** can't act and just comes off annoying with that "i'm so tough act". Always pouting, that's like her only facial expression, if she were to be in a sequel I would be heavily disappointed.

I liked Jovovich in The 5th Element but am sick of her in the Resident Evil films. I don't think she's tough enough to be in a more realistic type of movie. By realistic I mean no zombies and mutants of course. The only reason she seems to be an action star right now is simply because of the horrible writers for the RE movies making her character pretty much invincible. I couldn't take her seriously in a movie like The Expendables.

Agreed Figs. I honestly can't think of any females that should be in the sequel, except maybe Pat Benator by default. Rodriguez sux as an actress and Jovovich seems forced in the Resident Evil movies.

Dude, you just described the entire action hero genre. :)

I wouldn't mind Kevin Costner as a baddie either....

No females on the team. The 'boys are back in town' theme song at the end was perfect. It was what set this film apart from other action movie today; it didn't play into the politically correctness of sexism, etc......i mean, the scene where the female lead was getting tortured surprised me because alot of studios are scared to show violence towards woman in their movies in case they catch hell for it from feminist groups and whatnot. I'm not saying i want to see more of it, but if it's part of the story then it's part of the story and should be shown.

While that's true, I guess I have a problem with when a woman is like that, I just don't buy it. Which is why it couldn't be worse if they picked those two specific actresses, I can't stand them anymore.

When it comes to strong women, I prefer the types that are more like Ripley. You know, who have more brains as well as a tough nature. I just don't like Rodriguez because she tries to act too tough and i'm just sick of Jovovich.

I like Worthington but I can't see him in these movies because he would basically get a lot of screen time like Statham did but can't pull off the same type of action . It would be dissapointing and it wouldn't help the film or Worthington.

Well, not many of the actors in the Expendables could really act, so we shouldn't expect more out of the actresses either. I think they should just have an eye candy and add some estogen in the mix to balance it out a little. Maybe Brooklyn Decker? :awesome:
