If Austin came back and he all scarred and ****ed up and out for revenge I would be happy
Also bring back Gary Daniels in a neckbrace!
Bruce saw the rough cut that the test screening audiences saw. Remember in the trailer where Couture fly punches Austin, he's not on fire:

I was referring to your quote that Stone Cold was shot twice. The way I remember it he wasn't shot at all, it was the fire that got him.
And of course Randy Coture managed to punch Stone Cold several times before setting him on fire. He's Randy Freakin' Coture! To have Stone Cold dominate in the fight would have been rediculous.
All I'm saying is that Stone Cold didn't get killed by a bullet in the movie.

I don't think Austin got show in alternate footage either , It wouldn't make sense for Couture to just pick his gun back up and blast him.
It would, to put him out of his misery if the fire wasn't killing him.
I would love to see The Rock vs Austin if they are both in the sequel.

Well these guys seemed to be some of the most cold, cerebal and viscious guys you could meet when it came to battle. They seem like the sort of guys that would think 'the more pain the better, let the guy cook'. If you know what I mean.
reading? On a forum? Who do you think i am? Some kinda normal superherohype poster?
Im guessing news came out about the next film? I guess ill go check
Did you see a test screening?
They have their limits though. Otherwise they would have let Gunner hang the pirates.
"It's good to hang pirates."
True, but was Randy Couture playing Randy Couture in the movie? I actually thought Stone Cold's [blackout]apparent death[/blackout] was a cop out given the awesome fight he and Sly had beforehand. The way he was squashed by Coture didn't feel right to me.
Was Austin not probably the toughest BMF (no pun intended) of the bad guys? I would've thought he'd have put up a better fight before giving in.
Bruce is on the Cover but not Arnold ? Feels incomplete to me
Wasn't Stallone talking about some kind of Director's Cut though?
I didn't think Austin's fight with Couture was one sided at all. Stone Cold managed to get his licks in, as he should have in this type of action movie. But I think that they pretty much established Couture's character as being one of their top guys in hand to hand combat (along with Li and The Dulf). So the fight went pretty much the way it should go for an 80s style action movie.
If Seagal had been cast in Couture's role, the fight would have consisted of Seagal blocking one of Austin's punches, grabbing him by the head, and snapping his neck. Now THAT would have been a s#!tty fight.
I was unsatisfied with it as well, but mostly due to the overuse of "shaky cam" shots. For much of the fight I thought Stone Cold was fighting Jason Stathom.Quite true, though I was left unsatisfied by it. I was expecting Austin, being the toughest bad guy to go down more spectacular fashion.
Ah, but the thing is Steven Segal makes that kind of stuff look good.![]()

Yeah, I meant it as tongue in cheek. As regards to the latter, isn't that exactly what I'm getting at?...But it's out of place when used against a character like Austin's. It's fine when used on Nameless Thug #14 or whatever. But when he's fighting an ex CIA assassin/Navy SEAL/green beret/master ninja/marine/etc, then it's just wrong. Especially when that someone is one of the primary villains like Stone Cold was.
Lol!
