Bruce is on the Cover but not Arnold ? Feels incomplete to me

That is one badass cover. I can't wait to get my hands on this!! I loved this movie

If Austin came back and he all scarred and ****ed up and out for revenge I would be happy

It might actually be kind of crazy , which is cool . It was one of the last things I expected though considering he plans on bringing a lot of new people into the already big cast .

I definitely like the cover art. I was hoping they could find a way to put the symbol and the team on there.

Also bring back Gary Daniels in a neckbrace!

I second that motion - I gotta say, as a big fan of GD, I honestly feel that he wasnt given much of an opportunity to show what he can do. The guy's one of the most impressive movers in the martial arts movie genre and we didnt really get to see that in the scene he had against Li and Statham; he primarilly got kicked into a load of boxes and then got his neck snapped in [admittedly] one of the best movie deaths in recent memory. :csad:

Oh well, at least he got a shot at being in an 'A' list production.

Bruce saw the rough cut that the test screening audiences saw. Remember in the trailer where Couture fly punches Austin, he's not on fire:

I was referring to your quote that Stone Cold was shot twice. The way I remember it he wasn't shot at all, it was the fire that got him.

And of course Randy Coture managed to punch Stone Cold several times before setting him on fire. He's Randy Freakin' Coture! To have Stone Cold dominate in the fight would have been rediculous.

All I'm saying is that Stone Cold didn't get killed by a bullet in the movie.

As cheesy as it would've been, I wanted to see Stone Cold beat the hell out of someone and flip them off or dose them in beer.

True, but was Randy Couture playing Randy Couture in the movie? I actually thought Stone Cold's [blackout]apparent death[/blackout] was a cop out given the awesome fight he and Sly had beforehand. The way he was squashed by Coture didn't feel right to me.

Was Austin not probably the toughest BMF (no pun intended) of the bad guys? I would've thought he'd have put up a better fight before giving in.

I don't think Austin got show in alternate footage either , It wouldn't make sense for Couture to just pick his gun back up and blast him.

Did you see a test screening?

It would, to put him out of his misery if the fire wasn't killing him.

I would love to see The Rock vs Austin if they are both in the sequel.

Well these guys seemed to be some of the most cold, cerebal and viscious guys you could meet when it came to battle. They seem like the sort of guys that would think 'the more pain the better, let the guy cook'. If you know what I mean.

They have their limits though. Otherwise they would have let Gunner hang the pirates.

"It's good to hang pirates."

No I didn't. But you didn't specifically say that Stone Cold's death was different than the one in the finished product. You just mentioned that Bruce had seen the test screening. Then you showed a scene from his fight with Coture mentioning that he wasn't on fire at the time. I don't 100% remember if that scene was in the movie or not, but it was a little off topic.

Now if you'd shown a clip of Stone Cold being shot, that would be different. But whatever.

I didn't think Austin's fight with Couture was one sided at all. Stone Cold managed to get his licks in, as he should have in this type of action movie. But I think that they pretty much established Couture's character as being one of their top guys in hand to hand combat (along with Li and The Dulf). So the fight went pretty much the way it should go for an 80s style action movie.

If Seagal had been cast in Couture's role, the fight would have consisted of Seagal blocking one of Austin's punches, grabbing him by the head, and snapping his neck. Now THAT would have been a s#!tty fight.

Stone Cold opened a can of whoop ass, but
Randy Couture beat him to it!

Arnold is not allowed to be advertised since he's the governor.

Wasn't Stallone talking about some kind of Director's Cut though?

Yeah, it'll come out next year because they have to try to make us double dip.

Quite true, though I was left unsatisfied by it. I was expecting Austin, being the toughest bad guy to go down more spectacular fashion.

Ah, but the thing is Steven Segal makes that kind of stuff look good. :D

I was unsatisfied with it as well, but mostly due to the overuse of "shaky cam" shots. For much of the fight I thought Stone Cold was fighting Jason Stathom.

But it's out of place when used against a character like Austin's. It's fine when used on Nameless Thug #14 or whatever. But when he's fighting an ex CIA assassin/Navy SEAL/green beret/master ninja/marine/etc, then it's just wrong. Especially when that someone is one of the primary villains like Stone Cold was.

Lol!

Yeah, I meant it as tongue in cheek. As regards to the latter, isn't that exactly what I'm getting at?... :D:oldrazz:

I just think that's what we got (that I could see when the damn camera stopped shaking). I think the fight was roughly 60/40 in favour of Couture. If it were an 80/20 split with Austin being shafted then I'd be complaining too.

If it were Seagal it would be a 99/01 split with Austin getting shafted. THAT would have sucked.
