This would have been much better for his career than Universal Soldier 3 (or whatever, it would be JCVDs third but not the third US i think)

JCVD has always been an ego maniac, I hope the praise from JCVD which looks really good hasnt already gone to his head.

I just did some searching, and there's speculation that Van Damme is obligated to do Universal Soldier 3. He apparently backed out of a film called The Smashing Machine...and owes the studio another film.

A couple of weeks ago Jean Claude Van Damme, set to star in the second sequel to Roland Emmerich's 1992 hit (if only because he owes Moshe Diamant one after dropping out of "The Smashing Machine"), told MTV that he'd asked the producers to re recruit Lundgren - his co-star in the original - for the new film. According to the Time Cop, they weren't interested in bringing his beefy blond sidekick back for another round.

Given what he did with Rambo, I am very eager to see how this project develops.

They should all team up and take on Chuck Norris. It would be a fair fight.

According to AICN, UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture has been added to the cast of The Expendables.

I'm looking forward to this movie more than any other in 2010!

AICN EXCLUSIVE: Stallone's EXPENDABLES Casting Continues!! + A Cool Tidbit About Who Dolph Lundgren Will Fight in The Film...

So now it's Captain America, The Punisher and Judge Dredd?

Awesome.

We need Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, Bruce Willis, and Chuck Norris to round this baby out...

However I really want to see the ultimate badass: Michael Biehn

Quick, someone remind Stallone he made Assassins, Judge Dredd and Daylight...

Maybe that'll change his mind!

And the first two are better than alot of the widely lauded crap out there.

I never cared for Statham, but I'd love to see Sly and Jet in a movie together.

Damn this is the first time I heard of this movie but   to Dolph back on the big screen, about ****ing time. All this movie needs is Kurt Russell thank you Sly once again you got this 80's action fans 10 bucks.

Bullock Joining Stallone's Expendables?
Source: Shannon
December 24, 2008

JoBlo.com is reporting that Sylvester Stallone is pursuing Sandra Bullock to co-star in his new action film, The Expendables. Sly so far has cast Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker and Randy Couture in the film about a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator.

Stallone and Bullock starred together in Demolition Man. The site says that "Bullock would play a government agent (paired up with Whitaker) on the hunt for Stallone's crew of hired guns."

In related news, Moviehole has posted a breakdown of the characters still being cast.

Stallone is set to star and direct his own script.

I am interested in how Sandra Bullock does in this type of film.

Eric Roberts should be in this also.

Hell, just get every actor Stallone has ever worked with and feature them in the movie........with the exception of Rob Schneider, of course.

We need some recognisable bad guys in this too. Ron Perlman, Robert Davi, Michael Wincott, Andrew Divoff, guys like that.

I still remember when she was a top choice for WW. Back in the day, she did have the body, no doubt.

Don't forget Martin "sweep the leg" Kove.

We need Arnold Schwarzenegger
From: http://www.moviehole.net/200817106-expendables-characters

Church – The man that hires the ‘Expendables’ (run by ‘Barney’ and ‘Christmas’, assumingly the characters played by Stallone and Statham, respectively) to go after General Garza (who essentially runs his own island – described as a human rights graveyard). He’s an older bloke, and has a connection to the young man who Garza has apparently assassinated. This is personal, in other words. He wants Garza killed and his island burnt down. Five million dollars does the trick. (The rumour is, the role was written with Arnold Schwarzenegger in mind).
So at least Sly has thought of it. We'll see if he gets Arnie for the role.

The closest thing she's done is Speed which is probably going to be veryclose in tone to The Expendables.
Forgetting Demolition Man, are we?
