Well its obvious you never read the comic so you would know that its not emo at all. Second this movie has an 89 % critics rating at rotten tomatos while this movie has a meslely 29 % rating. Critics that never even read the scott pilgrim comics like it so its not just the internet. I might see this but really if I want to see mindless killing with blood and guts I go watch a slasher flick, not some old hacks from the 80's trying to regain their glory days. Scott pilgrim will own this crappy movie, its directed by the same guy as Hott Fuzz, and Shaun of the Dead. Inception and Scott pilgrim will own the box office next week and this movie will FAIL. Mark my words Noob!!
Although I agree that the guy doesn't know what the **** emo is(just like most people who call a lot of things they hate "emo")you're being really ignorant and trollish in this post.
1. Calling him a noob...and in caps.
2. Coming in just to say the movie will FAIL(once again in caps as if we couldn't read that word in regular lowercase)as opposed to saying something along the lines of "it probably won't take #1 at the BO opening weekend".
3. As someone else already said, Rottentomatoes % doesn't mean **** in regards to the general audience.
4. I wouldn't necessarily call these guys "hacks"(another stupid and overused internet fanboy term), although I do agree that some might be trying to reclaim their glory days. Even if that's true, i'm still glad Stallone made a movie with balls to it since a lot of action films now days(even though a lot of them are entertaining and good)don't have any real tough guys.
That's fine if this film isn't for you and you're a big Scott Pilgrim fan but you just look like a fool when you come in to essentially say that Pilgrim owns and The Expendables blows. It's especially silly considering you haven't seen either film. Although a lot of fans that read the comic say the movie looks pretty accurate, you can't say for sure until you've actually watched it. There is still a chance they could have messed things up.
I plan on seeing both. Will definitely catch The Expendables with my parents and gf in the theatre to support ballsy action films, which we need more of, even if they are a tad bit cheesy. That's why I loved those types growing up, not only were they badass but it also made you laugh or chuckle at times.
Pilgrim I might wait to put on my Netflix cue, not sure yet but I do want to see it since it also looks like fun.
