The Amazing Spider-Man TASM Easter Eggs / References

Petes parents dieing in a plane crash, like in ultimate spider-man. The symbiote was the cause in the comics/game.

Did anyone else notice the two students behind Peter debating swinging mechanics? It was like the original trilogy swinging versus the swinging in this one (which was MUCH better)

Mother Hubbard: Old Mother Hubbard- British nursery rhyme. References that Garfield is British.

Richard Parker and Curt Connors working together is also out of the Ult. comics.

it was as if those guys were from the superherohype forums.

They died in a plane crash in the regular continuity as well.

Anyone else catch the Seabiscuit book in Gwen's room?
Also, I think Seinfeld was on the TV when Peter was playing hide and seek.

Is it just me, or did Dr. Ratha mention the word "Oz?"

Dr. Connors' wedding ring. Although, when he was having his crisis of conscience in the sewer before attacking the school he said something about no longer feeling lonely. Is Martha dead? Is she in Florida?

well since he's british, maybe they're over seas, and he's currently working in NYC

Methinks he doth refer to paparazzi pictures of Andrew Garfield.
which we all know is a photo you doctored isnt that right eddie?

Well you'll never get that Daily Bugle Photographer job with those ethics sir ;)

You sure Thwip? I would think that JJJ would indirectly support those ethics.

The shot when Peter crawls up the wall to escape the gang trying to attack him (the first time he fights, without a mask) is definitely an homage to the shot of Peter wall crawling for the first time in Spider-Man 1.

The angle and the movement of the camera are nearly identical!

what if it was the same wall?

:P

Peter: I feel like I've done this before... perhaps in an alternate universe.. where I didn't skateboard or parkour..

I've only seen the film once, so I haven't been able to confirm this potential in-joke, but...

The final sequence, where we see Spidey swinging into action high above a police chase...I could have sworn that the car they were chasing was an old yellow Oldsmobile, a la Uncle Ben's car in the Raimi films. (And of course, appearing in almost every other film Raimi has ever made.)

Can anyone confirm or refute?
