Hello.
One of the things I absolutely LOVE about these types of movies are the little Easter Eggs and continuity nods and references in them. However, you sometimes miss them if you don't know where to look. With the movie now out in some non-North American markets, I think it'd be cool if we compiled some of the known nods and easter eggs in IM2. Although this is the spoilers forum, I suggest that, since the movie has not yet had it's big North American release, any BIG spoilers be put in spoiler tags
like this
.

I'll start with some that are known from the reviews and news going around:
After the credits,
we have a scene where Agent Coulson of SHIELD locates Mjolnir in a New Mexico desert

Saw it today! Liked it a lot!

Here's one that posters on another board might like:

Coulson and Tony both handle Cap's shield. Well an unfinished version of it anyway. I don't think it's the actual one Cap uses because I t=would guess that it might be lost with Cap and Tony/his father was working on a new one and abandoned it. Cool to see how Coulson seemed in awe of it where as Tony....not so much.

3.
Nick Fury says hes the realest person Tony Stark will ever meet

4.
Nick Fury also says hes got bigger problems in the South West (or was it South East?)

Not really a easter egg or anything, but in the trailers at least (someone who is lucky enough to have seen the movie can confirm for me) you can see Obadiah Stane in some of the pictures of Stark that Whiplash has on his wall. Nice nod to the last movie and how it was said that he and Tony had been such good lifelong friends and business partners.

Incredible Hulk campus footage on a screen in SHIELD safehouse

So does any one know if tony goes straight from this to the Scene at the end of hulk or does he still not want to be part of a superhero boy band

Around the end of the film, in the SHIELD office, there's a world map with specific locations marked, it'd be interesting to see what could be relevant. I saw a spot in Eastern Africa (Black Panther/ Wakanda ?) and one in Norway (Thor ?).

I enjoyed the bonus scene, was I the only one who was sure it was Thor related once Coulson said he was reassigned to New Mexico. Or maybe it was blooming obvious I don't know. :o

I think it was pretty obvious to the fans, Future.

Seriously though...... that after credits scene... I'm still buzzing about it. I found a screenshot of it online too, and i've just been looking at it, purring like a kitten.... To quote the great Tony Stark, "I want one!"

I would have liked a more lingering shot, when the camera zooms out to it, it's gone in a second.

Go to bleedingcool.com. Theres a screenshot of it there..... so gooood!

Which is cool. It just looks exactly like the comics. I'm glad they didn't try to jazz it up or anything. I would have loved to have seen the words on it though.

saw the movie yesterday, not knowing what the after credit scene was beforehand i seriously geeked out :awesome:

I've heard that Captain America's shield in the movie was very technological, unlike its comics counterpart. Can anyone confirm that? I've heard that it is very high-tech in Iron Man 2.

Why would Tony be building a shield for Cap if he hasnt been found yet?

Not really, it looks plastic and is hanging together. In fact I don't think it was Cap's shield but was actually a prototype designed by Howard Stark.

Coulson picked it out of a box that consisted of Howard Stark's property, so I think it was just a prototype that Howard designed decades ago. Or at least that's what I'd hope is the situation because the look of the shield didn't impress me at all.

The only problem is that Coulson talks about the shield in awe as if it were the original shield that Cap used on the battlefield.

I heard that there will be a Fin Fan Foom eastereggs. Is it really there ?

and the after credit scene is awsome :awesome:

it was the Asian female reporter footage from TIH, the one where she talks about the campus and Jack McGee

Which means TIH must come before IM2, or at they happen at the same time...
