The Amazing Spider-Man TASM Easter Eggs / References

Flash Thompson with his Spidey shirt, since he's a huge fanboy.

"Cool shirt."
"Dude's crazy. Chicks dig him."

:D

Oh yeah, did anyone else catch this?

It was when he's dressed in his vigilante suit. He drops down, he flips the guy and pins him against the wall. I don't think the shadow was the same though.

Yeah, I forgot to mention this one! I thought "The teaser poster, wow!" For the shadow there was no giant spider, though.

Dr Ratha telling Connors he was going to test the formula at a veteran's hospital as a reference to his background and how he lost his arm in the comics? It could just be a coincidence with going with a location where there would be plenty of amputees, but I like thinking it was a subtle nod to the comics.

the lizard having some sort of connection to lizards. (they were drawn to him) referencing how the lizard could communicate and control reptiles in the comics

I thought Marc Webb said that there would be references/ Easter eggs about potential future villians in this movie. The only reference was Norman Osborn.

My opinion, i think the mysterious figure at the end was maybe Quentin beck? perhaps he works for oscorp, just because he appears than vanishes in the Cell?
has it been confirmed that the mysterious figure is indeed Norman Osborn?

Yeah, I'm not so sure it was Norman...that disappearing act and all.

Ever since that scene has been released, it has been heavily implied that is in fact it is Norman. I love how it Emperor Palpatine they are going with this.

Probably less. I mean we knew Lizard was in the movie in 2011. So we'll know by next year's SDCC.

One of my friends thought it might have been Mysterio, also. The four of us just chalked it up to the guy either being Mysterio or Norman.

I am pretty sure its Norman in the mid credits scene. It just doesn't make sense to have any one else but him be in that scene. Norman is Pete/ Spider Man's arch villian like Batman and Joker. Plus he is referenced A LOT during the movie so I am like 95 % positive that its Norman.

Norman wasn't really mentioned a lot. Twice. MAYBE three times. And if you weren't paying attention, you could miss his name. Don't get me wrong, I want it to be Norman, since that portrayal (as little of it that we saw) was very cool/creepy, I'm just unsure, if only because he magically disappears, which is very much unlike Norman since, you know, he doesn't have teleportation powers. Granted, that could just be a poorly thought out end to the scene.

I thought that the first web spinning device seen in Osborn's lab resembled Doctor Octopus' tentacles a bit.

I'm sure there was a lot of background references that a lot of people didn't notice. there was a couple that people didn't notice in captain america until the dvd was released.

Dr. Connors' wedding ring. Although, when he was having his crisis of conscience in the sewer before attacking the school he said something about no longer feeling lonely. Is Martha dead? Is she in Florida?

Maybe the loss of his arm drove him mad to the point were science did in fact take over his life hahaha

Was that Seinfeld on the TV in the first scene where Peter's very young? You don't get a great glimpse but I could have sworn that was Jerry's apartment I saw.

There was a rhino shown in the digital tree of life at Oscorp in the beginning.

I did think this was probably one of the funnier Stan Lee cameos.

I thought maybe it was Friends.

Can't wait to keep an eye out for these things on the second go around.
