The Amazing Spider-Man TASM Easter Eggs / References

It had eggs in it. References chickens.

Chickens are awesome.

Apparently Gwen and Spidey swung past a Clock Tower? (Location of Eddie Bricks transformation into Venom)
And Curt hearing voices in his head and arguing with himself and almost seeming schizophrenic reminded me of Norman/GG in the original trilogy.

To be accurate, it's Eddie Brock. But to be even more accurate, Eddie wasn't in a clock tower in SM3 when he became Venom.

I do wonder what the little lingering shot on the clock tower was all about, though. There was a magazine shot of a behind-the-scenes of that swinging scene.

^ How do you know that it was? Just because the word 'organic' was used, that doesn't mean it was a reference. If they were going to reference the organic webshooters, they would've made it more 'on-the-nose'. May was simply asking Peter to pick up some organic, cage-free eggs.

Fine, we'll agree to disagree. :) But I believe it is a nod to it, it's pretty specific and out the ordinary. How much more "on-the-nose" would you need?

Can't say I've heard it used in a lot of movies, but to have it mentioned in a movie, where they take a stab at the original trilogy which had organics... just seems to put a 'dink' in coinkidink.

You've just officially gone from being mildly silly to flat-out ridiculous. If Aunt May wanting organic eggs constitutes a reference to the organic webshooters, every other time the word 'organic' is used in any context anywhere - on film or off
- must be as well, right? Give me a break, dude.

Give him a break, dude.

Organic isn't mentioned very often in film.

It might be reaching, but it wouldn't surprise me if "Organic" were a reference to the webbing from the other franchise. Isn't the line said right before he puts his new webshooters into action?

"Organic. Got it."

And then we see the new webshooters firing.

I don't believe so. If I remember correctly, the rooftop scene with "Organic? Got it," cuts right to the carjacker scene. But don't quote me on that.

The organic eggs scene happened after Peter made his suit. The webshooters were tested in peter parker mode, before he made his suit.

I thought he was talking to her about it on the cell phone right before he first used them to swing as Spider-Man.

Does anyone know where I can get a pic of the Tree of Life shown in the movie? I wanna see all the animals that was shown on it.

I wouldn't put too much thought in it. One was just a regular bird and he has no villains who are birds other than vulture (which the bird was far from) i'm sure a few were just fun nods though

We first saw him swing in the POV sequence. Then I believe they cut to the scene where he's talking to Aunt May on the phone.

Not sure if this has been posted, but in the Les Mis thread I saw this:

Btw, did anyone who saw the new Spiderman movie notice that the book they were all apparently about to start reading in their English class towards the end was Les Miserables? There was a copy on everyone's desk.

in his room, peter is sittin on the floor i believe, camera is on his rear right hand side so we see peter and his desk and there's a poster there with glover in it

I could have sworn I saw a Rhino on there.

There was. some of the other animals were a rat,, hornet, scorpion, tarantula. All who could be construed as spidey villains. But there was other animals with no correlation

How's that an Easter egg?
I've never seen/read Les Miz, but I did some research:
The situation is complicated when Valjean takes upon himself the care of Cosette, as he feels responsible for the death of her mother.
Sound familiar? (Peter = Valjean, Gwen = Cosette, switch father for mother.)
